Some of my collection of Classic Underground comix.

The first 7 issues of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers

Mickey Mouse and the Air Pirates 1-2

At this time, Walt Disney Productions found out about the Air Pirate Funnies, an underground comix form Kitchen Sinkl Enterprises which was drawn in the style which Disney first presented Mickey Mouse to the public in the early 1930s, anmd imitationg the style of the Silly Symphonies and three pigs and Donald Duck, only with four-letter words and in porno situations.

This cause the walt Disney Studios to file an actual lawsuit against artists and publishers of the Air Pirate Funnies, so Issue number three became a continuation of the Air Pirates with the Tortoise and the Hare, continued from issue 2 of the airpairate funnies.

Below is the front and back cover, the latter showing a copy of the suit by Disney against them to cease and desist.

And here is Issue # 1 of the Gratefull Dead Underground comix

Just a few from my library.

There are also issues of Dopin' Dan and Dr. Atomic, all great drug tales in comic form.

WEll Cenacle, I plan on scaning a few pages of Rodger Rabbit's adventures form the Air Pirate/Tortoise and the Hare comix

I have many more such books and graphic novels and pulps and such in my library.

So later I can post a few pages. Maybe some Fat Freddy's Cat. Cannot find that comic anywhere.

Does anyone here remember the first Freak Brothers cartoon. IT was one panel and appeared in one of the WOnder Wart Hog Issues of the motor cycle mags that they appeared in in the early 1970s.

I will post more later. I also have a bunch of Pulp mags to post.

LOVE IT!!!!!!  You got any Mr. Natural????????
a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

Its funny but I really did not like the crude art of Robert Crumb. I do have the movie Fritz the cat.

But generally I like art with shadow, style, airbrush, and surreal looking images such as that drawn by Rich Corbin (Den). The art of Barry Smith (Conan the first 24 issues) Alfredo Alcala, The Frazetta art and Al Willaimason, Wally Wood, Gray Morrow, Angelo Torres, all E.C. COmic artists.

I will post a Corben cover or two later.

I have to scan about 100 more books and graphic novels, then I will start scannnigng DVD. I have aboutthree hundred movies for sale.

Also one final thought. I just found a VHS tape of my lecture with Jonathan Ott, Jochen Gartz, Me and Dennis McKenna. GOing to see if I can get it transfered to a cd or dvd and then sell it onthe internet.

It is from the Gathering of the minds conference.

have a shroomy day

Those are great. It's been ages since I saw a furry freak brothers comic.
