Growing San Pedro Cacti - How cold can they get?

Does anyone know how much cold these cacti can withstand ?

Slightly below freezing temperatures.

They don't like cold and wet though.

Cold and dry is fine.
Cold and wet is a recipe for rot! :cry:

I use 28 as a warning temp and take them in if they are going to go below 25 (F) they can be covered and some types when dry can take as low as 15F for short periods of time. I have had some die around 20.

What zones would those be? like a 6-7?

It is my understanding that they require some shelter and protection in US zones 6a-7b, I hear they do not require protection in zone 9.

Does not matter much to mee since I am in 5b. But they do spend the whole summer outside. The big ones even go in the ground pot and all.

I am 5b too I think, I just took my collection outside. It is still 30-60 days before the last frost date, but I am in the safe range for temps I think.

i found out the hard way
that cold and moist is VERY bad
even stored in a garage
a bad combo

I bring them in at the first frost, fora total freeze can kill them.
