Hello,

I have a question and need an URGENT answer. Well, my Sally become very «soft». Now she is «hanging». I get the plant 5 weeks ago, and normally, she dropped a few leafs during transport. 10 days ago she started to drop old leafs and the last two old leafs on top of plant started to grow. The 2 completely new leafs started to grow.

2 last old leafs 2 days ago started to «die», draying, and this morning I found her droopy, both old lafs-dried. The whole stem become softer, only 5 inch from bottom is hard, and on that point she start to "hang" I suspect that I give her toomuch water. Maybe she don't get enough light, because she was not on window, but in my living room.

What to do, PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks,

difficult without pictures.....if bottom is OK, then top should be also.....be prepared to make cuttings.....it sounds from your description that it got too dry.......especially if leaves were dried and lower stem was still stiff......too much water rots from the bottom.....but roots could be not working right even though stem is green....??????  good luck
hmm..is the wind offshore yet?

Pull it out of the pot, the roots are drowning...MUD IS BAD...when you water your plant, it should run right out the bottom as fast as it goes in the top.

Use 1/3 rough lava, chips or stones, 1/3 medium organics, chips, mulch or whatever, and 1/3 actuall potting mix or "dirt"(your old MUD would be okay, but it MUST be aerated.

I think you will be ok, but the plant is not getting water and or/oxygen to its roots, they will not have grown I suspect.

Now....I could be wrong, but you better pull it out quick anyway and take a look, otherwise its  going to die.

Heres an example of free draining mix for succulents or salvia.

I did like You say. This morning I have remove her out, (when I squze the soil, it was like sponge, full of water, what a idiot I am  :(  :(  :(   ). I just left the bulk of soil near the rooth, don't want to touche the rooth, and put it in totaly new soil, made of  stones I take from garden, some bark of grape and normal flover soil. Now I am waithing. Now she is not "elbowed" like before. All is now in Godsesses hands.

PS

If this don't work, Is it possible to try to make the cutting? If it is, any sugestions?

Thanks

Make sure the cutting has at least one or two nodes on it.....change water every other day or so....make sure its clean.....
