so the beast still lives on here...riding the dragon with glee may help explain the downfall of me..maybe as explanation of my mod tardyness of the last year or so..new zealand dragibus variant confirmed..this bith is no dragon, shes a taniwha (mythical maori version of a dragon)..she took me down down down..no extraction, no process..just a single nipple on a fresh shoot..the taste so encompassing, so warm so full.. am amazed i make it back alive..or atleast stil teathered to my body.. i do find it amusing how no-one questions the cross cultural dragon references..the authorities did a good job of information control..

..on people 'requesting' to be let in..does a reformed heroine addict help hook up someone who has never used? id hope not..and the dragon is so much darker and deeper than satans belly button..

why cant we live like tribes?"

dont you worry about the health concerns?! why dont you take a break, kick back, spit out the D for a sec, and expand your research, im sure there are other competent ethnopharmacological researchers who would love to help further the understanding of the incomprehensible D,

new zealand eh? still out of touch for the big ol usa, that dragon lives on the otherside of the world. id consider it a shame if you died and left all the discoveries of D, unknown to the rest of your species, please trust that there are good people out here (myself) who are aware of the vast gravity that psychedelics hold. I am waiting for what appears to be our sign to unite and rejoice in the utopia we have created through altered consciousness and spiritual awakening. D may just be that sign or catalyst. How can i not be excited?!

Id love to help out in anyway i can, other than not getting in the way of people who trust none but themselves and know they are smarter...

we are all of the same family, how many hidden birthrights do you see me witholding from my kin? ok, so i dont have any, but i would share them as thats what one does when they are apart of a society of equals.
this is what i expect from the rest of my relatives, it may be naive but, its logical to say the least...

best of luck in furthering our collective understanding of the D, i hope you will let down those walls (not to say they arent entirely necessary) but maybe you could just let me keep up to date, so we dont keep reinventing the first step, like a wheel...

Man, I have to come out of retirement -- and believe me, there is a reason I have been in retirement, and it is germane to the thread at hand.

For all the transpersonal reptilian bliss, for all the guided journeying through the ontological foundations of our human existence, for all the windows to alternity that are opened through this precious plant, please keep in mind that it is entirely possible to develop a very unhealthy relationship to this plant. The long-timers here know that I am not the only one who has found this (hmm, anyone notice any conspicuous absences?), but it would seem that they're in a deep state of denial.

Fortunately some of the more over-the-top experiential reports appear to have been purged from the board, for which I am grateful. I would suggest that the moderators seriously consider a similar fate for this thread.

I do not blame my own failings on the plant, and I don't paint myself as a victim (however, it one were to posit an autonomous volition to a plant spirit -- one which could overwhelm us mere humans and place us into that category of victim, overpowered despite our best intentions -- this would be a reasonable plant for which to do it). And I'm sure that many of you (most?) who have tasted her charms have done so in a life-affirming way. But I feel that it must be said that just as every coin has two sides, this plant has dual natures. If anyone is foolish enough to think they are "strong enough to handle it" (and they well could be, but how would they know without putting their mortal soul on the line to find out?) please, please be careful. At a minimum I would suggest defining a dosing schedule, and if you find yourself breaking it even once, consider ending your experiment.

I have no regrets, for their are two sides to my coin too, and I wouldn't trade what I have seen for anything, despite the price I paid. But until people realize that a high price can be extracted, they can't even consciously make that decision. And I would hate to see people making a bargain without knowing full well what they could be getting into.

Tangentially, I hope everyone has been well.

Lost my boots in transit, babe,

Well put. Having said that, as a survivor of the 1968 Haight St d******s pandemic I have to say that not many can stand up to the temptations inherant to this plant. The lure of unlimited power in the spiritual realm that appears to be karma free is more than even the most sincere seeker can resist.

Of course we all found out that the dragon does come and extract its pound of flesh (or gray matter). Who can forget the all the formerly great power magicians huddled in the doorways in SF, clutching their bottles of Ripple hoping to keep the memories at bay? I still run into some of them panhandling, never having gotten their lives back on track.

Would  the psychedelic movement be the mainstream now if the dragon had never been redicovered? No one can know. We just have to soldier on with our heads far from empty.
a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

Thank you sir!

One day at a time... one day at a time.

The only safe say (and that's a relative term, of course) I've found of meeting up with the dragon is to quid a fresh leaf or two, but going no higher!
