Oyster Mushrooms

Found a nice group of oyster mushrooms late in the year.  There were at 7500 feet in the foothills.  I think they must be Pleurotus pulmonarius or ostrealus.  See http://fp.bio.utk.edu/mycology/Pleurotu ... sindex.htm
They were next to an abandoned oak barrel under a cottonwood.




PS:  No wonder I can't figure out what they are.  They are debating it.  At least they appear edible, no matter what you call them.

Beautiful TSTT!!!  I hope you took some to enjoy.  Although, not my favorite, they are still up on my list of shrooms for cooking. (Especially grilled or stir fried)
People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.
