Hey all,

Just wondering if you had any thoughts on Myrtillocactus Geometrizans "Blue Myrtle". This is meant to be a very broad topic- anything you know or expiriences had are welcome.

It is a choice grafting stock and produces blue fruit called garambullos which are popular in some areas.
Never speak your mind nor hide your thoughts.

They will pup near the top if fed and cared for properly.
While it is a fast grower, it is not as tolerant as most Trichocereus species of either cold or overwatering.

I lost one to cold last year and one is fighting off some rot this year.  The one I lost last year had pupped four times at its uncut top.  I was so psyched about it, and then it got too cold in the garage and turned to goo.

I did find two crested forms recently so I had to buy them.  I cannot tell if they are growing yet.

Hmm, seems like a pretty cool cactus. It looks really cool too. What would happen if a slower growing columnar was grafted to it?

Keep the info flowing
