i just learned that there is now a domain for spiritplants new refuge site, spiritplants.org, is it possible to maybe make the chat links thru it as well, irc.spiritplants.org for the java client and for the irc too?

Sure, I've got that working now so that irc.spiritplants.org points to the IP address of nitro.bctel.org.
