Possibly his most brilliant novel---- and yet maybe one of the least fun to read...  :?

"Likes and dislikes have nothing to do with it."
What I need is a strong drink and a peer group....

Tiger got to hunt,
Bird got to fly;
Man got to sit and wonder, "Why, why, why?"

Tiger got to sleep,
Bird got to land;
Man got to tell himself he understand.

I've read alot of Vonnegut and I think the man is a genius. The Book of Bokonon mentioned in Cradle is among his fans' favorite creations. I do like Cradle even though it is not my favorite. I think it looks at the spirituality of religion the way that Altman's films looked at the politics of war... Through a lense of crystal-clear sobering insanity.

and so it goes.
