I think we 'Mericans are screwed, no matter what eventually happens in Egypt. If Mubarack gets thrown out, it's entirely likely that a new, anti-American regime will take his place.

On the other hand, if we support this guy and downplay the uprising, we'll appear, per usual, as talking out of our collective asses about democracy, the will of the people, etc.

I suspect the same scenario will play out in Yemen too.

BTW, I also read the Huff Post! It's one of my favorite sites.
