Hi, So this will be a few posts to complete the thread..  I have gone way out of my way between my birthday on thursday and today.  I accidentally deleted the major  300 DPI Iimages 3 color pages with 11 images magazine size, 11 X 17. making a journal with 2 color covers and an unbelievable centerfold, 10 8 and 1/2 full colored 300 DPI and an 11 X 17 Full Color Centerfold.

I ended up recreating the images you are about to see.  I am trying to redo the cover for the Sex, Mushrooms, and Rock and Roll feature article but I am having a problem setting the blade unplugged tools effect.  The Zebra image was deleted so I redid it and had a better one then the first and then I accidentally saved a different picture using the same name so I had to remake it again. The 2nd time I re did it, it was awesom. This third one is not as well done.  So I had to dig through hundreds of photo albums for some of the art such as the t-shirt photo of blue beach on samui. I drew the smiley shroomies for the t-shirt painted by Wipaporn.

All the shrooms in the images were penciled by me.  Then I could not find two of the large color covers original 300 dpi files and looked through about 6,000 images on cd's/

As luck would have it I found the erotic cover of the one used with Grace Slick's head for sex, mushrooms and rock and roll and it was on a cd that was close to about 280 I looked though, did find some good cubie images I never posted and some odd images from 2001.

So here is the title page and the table of content
and the box I am posting in is jumping up and down on the page. What is causing that to happen.  Everytime I get to the bottom of the box and type the words keep hopping up and down.
The journal is 82 pages wtih two covers of full color and a colored centerfold.

There are three major shroom articles and more than 34 colored images in the text of the shroom articles.

IT is a limited Edition and will consist of 250 copies of which copies numberrs 1-25 will include full color throughout the copy and will be numbered and signed by me.


Cost is $50.00.  That sounds high, but the three full pages of color cost me over $8.00 per mag.  Then the more than 30 colored images int he text cost anywhere from 39 to 59, depending on the mood of my printer.

The 17 X 11 paper for the journal cost $17.00 a ream

So think 82 pages (41) and then the printing is about 10 cents a page,  And the stock for the heavier cover was even more.


The other copies numbers 26-250 will cost $35.00 each adn the text will not have any color, only black and white.  But wuill still have the three full color wide pages.

This box won't stop jumping around when I type.  It is really irritating
and makes it hard for me to see any typos.

The mag has the bar code, ISBN number and a copyright.

I was ripped off by a company in Chicago because after i bought the barcode I found out that I cannot imprintit onto a photo shop picture because it will rasterize and the code will not be read correctly so I had to order the labels with the bar codes and that takes ten days.

The cursor is bouncing up and down.

Here are the first two pages of this erotic 60 page tale.  I have two blurbs on the back cover of the journal, one by Dr. Stanley Krippner of the Saybrooke Institute in San Francisco. He and Michaeil Winkleman attended a few ritual ceremonies with Maria Sabina in the 1980s-1980s.  He is an authority on shamanism and studied witchcraft and primitive medicines in Indonesia for many years and has workshops all over the world.  google his name, his literature is really fantastic subculture based studies, he is a colleague of Ralph Metzner, Leary, Ram Dass, Andrew Weil, Rick Strassman, the McKenna's Rick Doblin etc.   You willbe impressed if youo look his bibliography over and read some of his online papers and books.

So here is a free peak at page one and two.  The journal article is from a series of personal communications between me, Sasha Shulgin and Jochen Gartz, covers ten thousands years and more of sexual activity of primates and humankind, the conquest, and data and info given to me by Tim Leary, Albert Hofmann, Terence McKenna, Andrew Weil, Jochen Gartz and others who have know of the activity of the subject yet only spoke in whispers in the literature about this particular aspect of sex and drugs, taboo subjects but even more so when spoken in the same sentence.

This was suppose to be issue 5 of shroomtalk and there was some hard differneces between mushbox over this issue which caused two members to start their own websites and hundreds of shroomtalk members left because of this rift about the magazine.  Since then I have come to good no bad feelings from the site or its operator and we are on good peaceful terms.

Okay, as I mentioned these are 11 X 17 size graphic arts and montage collage created pictures, and all but three of the images were actually reconstructed and re created after I screwed up.  

Here is the Cover and title of the Journal publication./  When I bought my bar code and ISBN number, the chick on the phone taking my order ask who I would be marketing my book to and I told her mushrooms.  She had no idea what the hell I was writing, but since I bought the bar code and ISBN, I have received 6 emails from them offering me all kinds of book deals to make books to do my layouts, to make covers that would help a book sell, the wanted $6.38 to make me an 82 page book measuring 6" by 9" inches with a two tone cover.  I bought a $55.00 package deal so I at least get my journal listed in bools in Print but I am not sure how to get Amazon.  They usually want the books and at the cost of them I cannot let the  sell them for me.

I have already received 16 pre paid orders for number 1-16 of the 25 deluxe copies.  That money will help pay for the other 225 copies.  Then I hope to use the profits to make issue IX of my journal and print my 148-page Paper with 5 other authors on 20-years follow-up research on SE Asian fungi.  Including some new species never before seen, DNA, SEM, Chemical Analysis and some unbelievable cultivation and quite a few temple photos of asparas, shiva and others holding shrooms in their hands. We have identified Copelandia as the species found on bas releifs from India, Thailand and Kampuchea.

As I mentioned, this journal had two color covers. The first one is the journals cover, "Ethnomycological Journals: Sacred mushroom Studies." The name was coined by me and Richard Evans Schultes who suggested I should use a series name formy continuing research so this is volume 8.  Wasson had a journal from Harvard, but then he and Ott began a battle with Singer  and Smith and others and their arguing began to get to the hiarchy elitist snobs who ended his journal publication.

Well I just had to resize the covers because it said they were too big, I just want you to be able to read Dr Krippner's blurb on the back cover.  So you will have to click it too enlarge. I was not going to rassterize it and pixelate the quality by using myu jpeg compressor./  I am very proud of this project.

Now when I look at theproperties on the desktop it says 186 kbs and then I look at it in photo shop and it says 316 kbs so I do not know it if it is going to post and then the stupid posting box type keeps bouncing up and down

Shit forget it. I just shrunk it fdown to 7 inches in height and it still says it is too biog and my computer saids it is 165 kbs and yours says it is 316.

And I cannt take this bouncinfg box that I cannot see what the heck I am tyopinf.  Its poted at all the other sites is anyone wants to see the nice colored iamges.

So what is wrong with the picture upload.  I open theproperties on my desktop and it says the image is 186 kbs. However, when I attempt to upload it to your site, it spins and then stops and tells me the file is too big and that it is 316kbs.  Why  would there be two different amounts of file space. I can take a picture withmy Macro and show you that it says the size.  This is really frustrating trying to share something and not being able to make it post.

I apologize and thent hthere is ths problem with the text box cursor jumping upand donw all over the screen.
