I received a deferred judgement this morning for the felony possession with intent to deliver mj charge I caught back in March. Probation with minimal supervision and a fine of $1000 accompanied the sentence. Couldn't have went much better for me, imo.

In the end the prosecutor also argued for the deferred judgement as opposed to a suspended sentence which would have been on my permanent record and cost me my drivers license for 6 months to boot. Go figure. What a long, strange trip it's bean.....

I've felt great since I quit smoking. Better than i had for many years. My plan is to mind my "p's and q's" while on probation and then get serious about advocating for a change in the local drug laws. I never really felt safe doing that while growing and smoking. But this is a different day.

Saw my PO for the first time this morning. I was really thinking they would be pee testing me after giving me the surprise notice at 8:am to come in for a visit. I'm pissing spring water, so have nothing to fear. But no test occurred. Next scheduled visit is in early Feb.

Had the pleasure of driving to Adair county and getting finger printed this morning. Took along the dog and went for a nice walk on a deserted "B" level gravel road in Madison county on the way out.

The jailer-lady told me she wishes the state would just legalize and tax us, as far as weed goes, while she was getting my prints. That kind of made my day.

Graduated from my out-patient drug treatment program last night. Now I only have to attend a one hour group meeting every week. (Not 12 step related, thank jeebus.)

And just like that - I'm on my way to becoming a rehabilitated, productive citizen once again. hehe

you're seeing all the signs that change is just a matter of a flip of a page (of some sort)

after getting finger-printed, i'd consider wearing gloves - now that i think about it
