A recent rash of what appear to be bad acid trips has caught the attention of the Arcata Police Department, which is warning people who may use the drug.

Hard to say.  Big shipment hit town and suddenly people who wouldn't have rated for a portion of the normal small lot were able to lay hands on something?  Chemist was off by a zero or so when titrating the dose?  Shulgin decided to test out a new stereo-isomer?

But really, I suspect that there really were monsters in those testicles.  Just maybe not the sort that he was thinking about.

But seriously, it sounds like those peeps got angle dusted or trumpeted...... I remember a story about a kid in germany who did essentially the same thing after ingesting brug or something similar.

That does not sound like Acid to me......I mean it could be a crazy high dose but still... I wonder what they took, sounds awful.

Could just be propaganda/misinformation to scare people. You know, like how they used to do in the 60's and 70's.

Or could be some other chemical masquerading as LSD.

Doesn't sound like good ol LSD to me though.

Lysergic acid methylisopropylamide?  (aka LAMIDE aka MIPLA aka bliss). Just a guess!   Maybe more than that ...

I met a nurse who worked further and she was convinced the problem was people mixing lsd and ketamine (yum), however, and this is also possable.  And, owsley was just in town so hey, you never know!
