My bio is being published in the summer of 2010 by a recognized publishing firm.

And I will not be allowed to post that for several years.

However, I have several papers and two books coming out during the next year and a half and I will be able to post them after publication.

1. On the history of ergot from 2500 b.c to 1928 when Albert Hofmann began to study its use in obstetric medicines prior to his discovery of LSD-25 s a psychotropic substance.

2. A reprint of my 1978 Opium Poppy Cultivation book written with the late Jack Gerard.

3. A paper:
"Known & Likely Species of Psilocin and/or Psilocybin-containing Mushrooms: An Updated and Revised List (2009)." In Press at Psychedelic Salon,
By John W. Allen

4. A paper with Gartz, Sihanonth and Molter on the chemistry and cultivation of P. ovoideocystidiata with SEM:
"The Occurrence, Cultivation, and Chemistry of Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata, a new Bluing Species (Agaricales) from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia."
By
Jochen Gartz, John W. Allen, Dan Molter, Prakitsin Sihanonth.

5. A paper with Gartz,Sihanonth and Suarez on the chemistry of Psilocybe villarrealiae with SEM:
"The Detection of Psilocine, Psilocybine and Baeocystine in a Psilocybe close to P. villarrealiae from Mexico."

6. "Sex, Mushrooms and Rock and Roll," a 48-page paper on the history of sex and drugs, especially mushrooms throughout history with an exchange of data through personal communications between me, Sasha Shulgin and Jochen Gartz, which also includes a drug bio of me detailing how I first learned about drugs and became interested in them and their relationship with me, shrooms and sex.

7. A paper of which I am co-author of a new compound found in submerged culture of Psilocybe samuiensis:
"Psilosamuiensin A, a sesquiterpenoid metabolite of Psilocybe samuiensis."
by
S. A. Pornpakakul, S. Suwancharoen, A. Petsom, S. Roengsumran, N. Muangsin, N. Chaichit, J. Piapukiew, P. Sihanonth and J. W. Allen.

8. And finally, a 138-page paper:

By
John W. Allen, Prakitsin Sihanonth, Jochen Gartz and Gianluca Toro.

9. Plus my auto-bio and a few short articles on shroom updates

Watch for them.

this is really fantastic news, boomer! So glad you've got a publisher.
(I'm always available if you need a hand in editing)

I read this an hour ago in school and have been smiling ever since. Good good news.
