meet Ran Prieur.
A hippie full of paradoxes. he wants to live on his land and grow veggies, but will only move there when he has internet connection. the end of this civilization as we know it makes him high. he has racial issues, perhaps influenced but his love of Charles Fort. he doesnt believe we come from monkeys and thinks darwin is a big fagg.
he thinks spirits are really fuckers, here to confuse and lie to us pathethic matter beings, so that the spirits can experience "stuff". he thinks this civilization is the result of earlier more advanced societies, and that jehovah, zeus or whatever earlier forms of gods were like tv shown to idiot man by those surviving more sophisticated societies.
hes a big dickhead, and loves to cook bread.
an interesting mix of hardcore hippidom mixed with cybernetics. his site contains some great links to some quite interesting ways of seing this world.

September 7. Thanks Rob for sending this fascinating article about a girl raised by dogs in the Ukraine. The article makes it sound like a tragedy, but I think it's cool! Patricia comments:

"Oxana Malaya is now in a clinic and unlikely ever to leave as she lacks the skills to survive"... Seems like she did okay before they caught her.

Humans are the most mutable animal in the world, and the real tragedy is that we've all been molded by forced schooling and cars and computers, instead of exploring ten thousand different directions. I just hope, as the industrial matrix breaks down, some coyotes decide to raise abandoned kids instead of eating them.
