Hey all,

A friend of mine is starting a Entheo/Medicinal garden and was wondering if anyone had any favorite plants they grow.

Anyone have a favorite seed/plant website they get functional products off of?

Wish I could have another garden... >_<

Yeah bro, Polygonum Multiflorum, Purple Cone Flower, Garlic, Sally, Astragalus, St. John's Wort, Feverfew, the lists goes on.
People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.

It depends what climatic zone your garden is in but i would have some basics on hand for good health, beginning with leafy green vegetables. I always have aloe vera in my garden - the queen of medicinal plants.
For the past week and for the next couple of weeks i am house-bound with a broken foot and i can only watch my garden from the window.
The brugmansia sanguinea has self-sown and 1000's of baby trees have germinated.  Once i can walk again i'll have to pull them all out.

Grow some Leonotis nepetaefolia plants. Really fun to grow, and they're huge!

Brugmansias are great.  Phalaris grasses are pretty fun to grow too.

I'd recommend Silybum marianum. They're prickly, beautiful and very good for the liver.

And they grow vigorously.

i love sorrel (rumex acetosa), great tangy taste
catnip is nice, so are californian poppy. many beautiful salvia species out there. another favourite is pinaeapple sage (salvia rutilans), the flowers are great on salads..

id say, get some seeds and experiment and see whats enjoyable to grow...
have never been able to get any flying saucer morning glory growing, had all the rest, stunning flowers..

i love my herb gardens, but am a more enthusiastic cacti gardener..
