Quote from: "Stonehenge"I was going to clone one of my VA plants since it has several branches but it's gotten kind of close to winter and that's not a great time to do it though it would be ok inside. I'm just wondering if it would be wiser to take a cutting now in case something happens to the outside plants or should I wait until spring. Decisions, decisions.

I've always been intrigued to grow this plant, but the only seeds I got never were viable...maybe I should have done something else with them besides try to germinate them...
anyway, that's inspiring that you guys are having luck with your plants.

cheers!

I have a few germinating in rockwool on a heat mat and under a flourescent. I hope at least 1 germinates.   I want to try the 50 seed trip method to see if I feel anything but I have also read a report about taking it with syrian rue.    anyone tried that ??????    hmmmmm
and last but not least ........
since the chemicals are similar to Ibogaine would the effects of a full blown trip work the same  in the curing addictions sense???

as has been stated many a time (including in doc shulgin's TIHKAL), the seeds contain primarily tabersonine (close to yohimbine), while the roots contain  tabernanthine & voacangine (close to ibogaine)(as well as several dimers (e.g. voacangamine)...)

mmmkay?
ah but i was so much older then...

yeah but just because a chem is close in structure doesnt mean it works the same.     I havent ever seen any reports of it working the same either.
