Some people beliave that cubensis are part of a sacred plane or left for specifik reasons.

I am wondering about the mushrooms that make alcohol. Which agenda do they have?

I don't know about such mushrooms.  Do you have a link?  Sorry to be ignorant, but i mainly stick to the salvia plane.

Mushrooms I see as a powerful entheogen.

Generally, I don't think of alcohol as an entheogen in and of itself.  I place it into the "helper" catagory.   Combined with sacrements or used as a solvent for plant extracts, it can have many benefits, medicial value, etc.
...and as if from the inception of time itself I realized I was and had been for sometime, elsewhere, elsewhen or somehow, quite seriously, otherwise...

Perhaps he's referring to yeast, which is a fungus, but not a mushroom.  Mushrooms are considered "higher fungi", where I suppose yeasts occupy a lower rung.  Although, I have read that a morel is a highly-evolved yeast.

To respond to your question, it is possible.  I have read that alcohol can be used to "free up" one's flow of chi, leading to the "drunken" style of kung-fu, and the adage about there being truth in wine (in vino veritas?).  While I wouldn't consider alcohol to be a particularly powerful ally, I have used it in conjunction with others, specifically salvia.  I found that it allowed salvia more control over my mind, that I resisted less.  If imbibed heavily it most certainly does allow hidden parts of your psyche to have greater control over your conscious actions, leading to the disturbing violent and emotional outbursts some individuals experience whilst using it.  Perhaps it is to be used sparingly, or under great control and moderation.  I enjoy a good chocolate stout now and again, it makes those evenings be more enjoyable and myself more sociable, but it's not something you'd catch me doing more than once a week.  Wine is a different creature, a glass every evening has been shown to be healthful, and it's not as fattening as beer.
