keeping cool while on saliva

The heat (which I experience intensely) has little to do with worry or other psychological explanations.  The receptors at which salvinorin is active have been shown to be involved with temperature regulation, paticularly in the case of hypothermia. So it isn't surprising that such affects are noted.  

A few people have said things like "man, you're just scared of the experience," which leads me to make two obersvations:

One must be careful when projecting one's own psychological processes on those of others, and

One must be careful when adopting simple psychological models when thinking about/describing the deep states of entheogens.

Weird, I go the other way. I usually feel cooler than normal on salvia.

Interesting. It could be the same thing (in the same way that a fever can either make you feel hot or give you chills).
