I knew it when Bush said Gonzo was doing a "heck of a job" just a couple weeks ago. Where is Cenacle to help us gloat over it?

Gonzy was just a political hack. He got the order to fall on his sword and anyone who believes that Bush "reluctantly" accepted the resignation will believe anything. Bush is like the captain of a hot air balloon rapidly losing altitude. He is tossing overboard anyone who looks like a liability.

WASHINGTON - Attorney General Alberto Gonzales’ resignation Monday after months of draining controversy drew expressions of relief from Republicans and a vow from Democrats to pursue their investigation into fired federal prosecutors.

President Bush, Gonzales’ most dogged defender, told reporters he had accepted the resignation reluctantly. “His good name was dragged through the mud for political reasons,” Bush said.

The president named Paul Clement, the solicitor general, as a temporary replacement. With less than 18 months remaining in office, there was no indication when Bush would name a successor â€" or how quickly or easily the Senate might confirm one.

I'm back from Burning Man and ready to gloat!! I just read the news last night and had to go back to the news of that day to make sure it was real. Man, I am happy for whatever good news we get these days, and this is surely some.

Congratulations on being able to attend Burning Man, Cenacle. I couldn't get away but I heard it was great.

Yeah, we don't get much good news these days so Gonzo departing was a breath of fresh air. Now, when will the chimp in chief go and more importantly, when will his policies and the people who tell him what to do hit the streets?
