I went to see Toots and the Maytals last night, was an awesome gig, total quality, the man had the crowd wrapped around his finger, most cool tunes and lots of love for all :)

Us too. Toots is a great performer and his fans are rabid like Da Heads.
a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

I LOVE Toots! Ever since I saw him at the Reggae at the lake at Lake Tahoe back in 98 I think it was, I've been in love with him. He totally knows how to work the crowd!

Sucks though, because whenever he comes to Portland, he plays the Roseland, which I am still boycotting because of some bs with their security. I wish he would play the Crystal ballroom instead. Way better venue, and way nicer staff.
