It's common knowledge around here that I am not an afficinado(sp?) of purely electronic music.

Having said that, I heard some good ideas. The electronica I like the most is the stuff that is not so much about the "beat' but about the textures. In my opinion, the more you know about how music works in terms of harmoney melody and rythmn  the better your work will be whether it be acoustic, electric, or computerized.
