Happy birthday everyone.... the forum is 10 years old the end of July/beginning of August this year. I wonder if Eddy has been around since he left a few years ago.... I think he would be proud to see this girl still kickin on after 10years.

I am thinking we should do something special this year... anyone have any suggestions?

Syd

GD that cake looks delicious, did u make it special for SPF?

Oh, Happy 10th to Spiritplants!
Eddy, thank you for starting this fine location
and Kemp for bringing us round to this day
and to all the amazing (Cenacle) admins
and to Andy for his fine input
and Avery Breath and Cassie and Syd and Laughing Willow and the usual group of unique people (Boomer) and compassionate hearts (Sal)
and jazzy (JRL) and friendly boddhisavtas (dendro) (and jiku) and poets and artists and all

and beloved who pop by to join forces
Tenth anniversary.
what could we do?

Have a travelling postcard?
We could start it at one point and mail it to one another according to a list, adding our signature each time til it arrives back at the starting point. (photos posted when possible). That could be a nice linking gesture.

Lost my boots in transit, babe,
smokin\' pile of leather.
Nailed a retread to my feet
and prayed for better weather...

Happy birthday dear friends. 10 years is a long time on the internet!
a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

I think it is more like dog years, so we would be in our sixties here at SPF. Or we could get into the whole internet age vs human age thing, have a Google or two on the subject, you might be surprised at what you find. It is definitely not one for one.

Ten years eh??  Yes, I'd agree that a decade on the net is a long spell.  Thanks to Eddy/Kemp and all the others who have offered assistances large and small....Ha!!!  I sorta dig that "dog years" comment :smoke:3 ----------sal

I can't believe I didn't mention Andy (thanks for the reminder Judih). We do owe a great deal of thanks to Andy who has given us this space and bandwidth for the past 4.5 or so years. Thank you kind sir!!!
Thank you to everyone for making this place what it is. The forum really wouldn't be here but for the people who continue to contribute just by posting!

I kinda like the postcard idea... though I wonder if we could get that many involved. For those worried about privacy/security, we really would only have to give out an address, to the person before us. I'm game if we can get a few more peoples involved.   :tea:

Oh, and the cake.... nah, I cheated and 'borrowed' it from the internets.  :D

laughingwillow

Thanks for everything, kemp.

Didn't some folks bring A Hoffmann a cake like the one posted above for his 100th boithday celebration?

I am game to sign this postcard as well!

We need a foolproof plan for keeping addresses private for those who like it that way.
uh, i'm out of brain power right now. if anyone can put the plan together, we could keep the postcard moving round the globe during this year.

Syd

I'm willing to keep my PO box on the return address label (so we dont lose the letter) and then each time the letter needs to be mailed the address of the mailee can just be given to the mailer...?

JRL

10 years!!! Wow!!! Love you guys.

I will sign the postcard.
