Some people beliave that cubensis are part of a sacred plane or left for specifik reasons.

I am wondering about the mushrooms that make alcohol. Which agenda do they have?

Quote from: CassieMy doctor sells me this 'Sero-tonic' which contains :
Vitamin B3 (nicotinamide)    35mg
Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine)        20mg
L-Tryptophan                      25mg
L-Phenylalanine                   50mg
5-HTP                                 25mg
Recommended Dosage:
1-2 capsules twice daily for 5 days or as otherwise directed. Maintain a dose of 1-2 capsules daily in the long term if required.
Do not take with meals containing protein.

It works for me!  I was using 5htp by itself but this mix is better.  Serotonin levels drop as we age and also drop in times of stress and illness.

Add some vitamin C to the cocktail. Used together with B6 to transform the aminoacids.

Quote from: "Avery L. Breath"I here it has the potential to be used in the treatment of obsessive compulsive dissorders........ as opposed to stuff like SSRI's

Quote:
What causes Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder?

There is no single, proven cause of OCD.

Research suggests that OCD involves problems in communication between the front part of the brain (the orbital cortex) and deeper structures (the basal ganglia).

These brain structures use the chemical messenger serotonin. It is believed that insufficient levels of serotonin are prominently involved in OCD. Drugs that increase the brain concentration of serotonin often help improve OCD symptoms.

Pictures of the brain at work also show that the brain circuits involved in OCD return toward normal in those who improve after taking a serotonin medication or receiving cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy.

Although it seems clear that reduced levels of serotonin play a role in OCD, there is no laboratory test for OCD. Rather, the diagnosis is made based on an assessment of the person's symptoms. When OCD starts suddenly in childhood in association with strep throat, an autoimmune mechanism may be involved, and treatment with an antibiotic may prove helpful.

...... rest of page here, http://www.ocfoundation.org/ocf1010a.htm

I feel a bit sceptical. If an increase in serotonin by it self help SSRI wouldnt be so much better as medication against OCD compared to a lot of "traditional" AD medication.

SSRI doesnt as we have learn the resent year increase serotonin levels looking at the mean value.

Another theory which makes more sence is that if we view serotonin levels as a function OCD, GAD and a lot of other problems lies in a problem in the delta of this function.

A lot of herbs work on the benzodiazepins but not brutal as valium.
Probably about the same here, but maybe cool.

Well they have helped me out a couple of times in the path and I would hate to loose them as friend, so it is important not to step on anybodys toes here.

The best would be if everyone was like mistress Ganja who doesnt mind 3:somes.

Quote from: "dergheist"I know most people I talk to get the opposite reaction to SD, but then again we are all different.  Ever consider she might be trying to tell you a message?  Only you can decipher the message, but still it might be a message from the Green Goddess.

Or maybe my two olds friend tobacco and vodka har tapping into the channel to protect their realm?

Quote from: "dergheist"I know with Sally, I feel like I have meditated for hours after using her.  My buisness partner and I have noticed that when we are around our plants after dosing as we tend to them, it is like we can hear their thoughts.  Like subconcious thoughts that somehow you know are not your own.  I know the first time I tried TSTT's Sally back at my house, I had both my cats sitting with me and we must have carried on quite a good conversation that lasted for hours after dosing.  Even the next day the cats were more "clingy" and I knew instictivly what they wanted.  I think now that what Sally does for us, is to dial us in with the world around us.  Heck, the ancient legends talk of how we used to talk with the animals and be protectors of this earth just like the Native Americans, but somehow we lost that ability and I believe that Sally shows us how to get back to our roots.  One thing I am certain of is that I love her, the longer our relationship continues.  I mean at first she was a little unpredictable and even sometimes down right harsh (I guess this is why I call her a feamle), but that eeventually changed into pure respect and love for each other.  Well, I guess enough of the hippie talk, before someone here realizes how crazy I truly am.
