Hey friends, haven't been around here much lately but I plan to be more!

Anyway, I will be ready to send Salvia plants again in under 2 weeks, I took a break there for the hot part of summer.  I have been on this forum trading these for about 6 years, I'm sure many remember me.  I may be interested in trades, just shoot me a pm or email and let's talk.  You can see pics of my cuttings here, and info on purchasing: http://fourwindsmedicinals.com/index_fi ... lants.html

Peace

I've been asked if there is a limit on these so I want to let you all know that there is no limit.  I have 700 of these seed pods and can offer wholesale discounts.  There wn't be any more after these are gone until next year.

I prefer email over PM if you don't mind, you'll get a faster response.

The seeds in these pods are highly viable!  I am getting feedback back of at least 15% and most higher.  Which is great, when you consider getting 100-300 seeds for $5.

I still have hundreds of these left, and now that we know that they are very viable I hope to get a lot of interest here!  Just email me: mailto:info@fourwindsmedicinals.com">info@fourwindsmedicinals.com

Thanks!

I'll try sending them anywhere, but I can't gaurantee you'll get them.  I have had seeds seized at customs before, you need a certificate to legally get seeds for propagation.  I'd just send them in an envelope and you'd have a good chance of getting them I'd think.

These are not the same as those from IAS, these are whole closed seed pods rather than loose seeds.  I wish I could say I've done the germintation myself, but I have not yet.  However I want to get these out while they are so fresh.

I will start them tomorrow under a few different conditions and keep undated here.  Although, I'll be leaving Thursday for a few days and a friend will be here, but I won't be able to update you until Tuesday.

Hi dergheist, I can't say for sure but I think that if you keep them sealed from moisture and away from heat or light they will be able to last for a while.  Anyway, some little seedlings should be pretty easy to move :)

Please email me your trade list: mailto:info@fourwindsmedicinals.com">info@fourwindsmedicinals.com

That's funny, I may actually be moving in a couple months to accompany my other to a job relocation.  How exciting!

The Trade Winds / Kratom seed pods to trade/sell
February 15, 2006, 06:45:03 PM
Hello all!  I have just received some fresh Kratom seed pods.  These are unopened pods so will be as viable as possible, much better than loose seeds or opened pods.  There are around 200 seeds per pod and I have been gauranteed 20-30% germination rate.  That seems low but is pretty good considering hundreds of seeds per pod.

I am going to plant my own this week in several different mediums and enviroments so I will keep y'all up to date on how it goes.  I can't absolutely gaurantee at least 20% success with these as I have not done the experiment myself yet, however I do trust the source that they have had that much success.  Also, I would love to do the experiment first so I could gaurantee my own results, but I know that every day that passes may reduce the viability of the seeds, so I am making them available right away.

These pods are collected from wild plants in Thailand.  I am asking $5 per pod, and that's a lot of seeds.  They are not yet on my site http://fourwindsmedicinals.com but will be soon if they do not sell out right away.  However, I will sell or trade them to anyone who either PM's or emails me.  I really hope to get a good response as it would be awesome if we could get these plants more common and widespread.  I am confident that the germination rate will be at least 20%, but even if it is only 5% that is a lot of seedlings.

Also, as a reminder, I offer a 10% discount at my store to anyone who tells me they are on this forum.  All you have to do is email me and tell me, I'll either include 10% more porduct or refund 10% of your money - your choice.

Thanks for reading!

Avery L. did you try it yet?  Vaporizing does sound nicer than burning.

Yeah, you're right about that a.l.b, that is why I said only pick plants that are at least 20 years old, preferably much older.  As long as you do that, and you are only picking enough for yourself or family, you won't harm the population.  At least not where I have been, when you find it in the UP you will likely see it all through the forest.

There was a big problem with Koreans coming to Michigan to rip out the ginseng somewhat indiscriminately, to get as much as they could and sell it for over $200/lb in Korea.  The DNR eventually started doing sting ops on Korean (and others) ginseng poachers.

If you were driving home with a trunk full of roots you could end up in jail, but that law is in place for a good reason.  Having a trunk-full is a bit much, especially since this is potent ginseng.

American Ginseng makes excellent beverages!  I have just started fermenting a new American Ginseng ale, deliciously envigorating.  I'm not saying it is wild ginseng-that stuff only exists in fairy tales.

Sooo.....has anyone here ever smoked the habanero extract?  Sounds crazy, brings up visions of burning lungs etc. and maybe a very HOT harsh smoke.

Anyone?

I'm in Michigan where wild american ginseng can very easily be found in forests....too bad it is illegal to pick.  The wild stuff is so much more potent than the cultivated.  Also, if you pick wild ginseng you pick plants that are 20-30+ years old so you don't mess with the population.  I can't imagine growing a crop that I didn't plan to harvest for 25 years.  It would be incredible to do that though.  Best of luck with your project Roach, I'm very interested to see how it turns out!

I'd say ginseng has just as much potential to make you hallucinate than anything else that is not an hallucinogen.   :P

Very nice!  Where do you get the wild dagga wood?  Your own plants, or...wild?

Now I'm considering chopping down one of my kratom trees :)

I would send Nice healthy Kratom cuttings to Canada if you'd like.  If you are willing to go with express that is the best since then you'd have tracking and know where they are, besides being the fastest way.  I'd think an unrooted cutting would do fine a few days in a box if you gave it enough moisture, since it will take a couple weeks to root anyway.  Give me an email if you'd like me to send you cuttings, I'd send a few to make sure you are successful.  I have lots of good healthy ones to send right now.  At the very least pay for shipping to get them to you, I'd be open to any trade offer.  Although, I have no need nor room for more plants, maybe something dry or otherwise not alive....

Or, since the whole herb is so inexpensive, you could make your own extractor tincture with ethanol.

It is like really good strong Ginseng.  And has been proven to have better adaptogenic effects and to be something like 30 times less toxic than ginseng.  It makes me feel alert yet relaxed.  Relaxed because I feel good, not because I'm sedated.  Nice stuff  :)
