depending on how thick the poo is, i'd say anywhere from 2-4 weeks to colonize, then another couple weeks until fruitation.. give or take a week ;) :P

Quote from: "Hedon"Has anyone ever bought any spore prints from FMRC? If so what did you think?

I didn't think you had to buy spores from the Free Spore Rings.. you just send a SASE, don't you?

I would also think about putting your spawn near a bush or in a shadey place, considering the temperatures of the summer.  Ideally, you would want to put your hole somewhere that would be shadey throughout the day because your spawn would run out of moisture and dry up on you.  You can use hay or straw as cover for your casing.

Also, think about letting your spawn take over the compost for a few days before you put it in the hole. This will help the mycellium run through the compost, making it easier for your casing to fruit.

good luck ;)

You might want to lay something down between the dirt and the poo/spawn.  I've used old tarps or garden cloth down before with good results.  the reason for putting something down would be to keep slugs/worms out of your spawn.
