Quote from: "rahli"Recently dried Peyote buttons can contain up to 8% total alkaloids of which about 30% is mescaline.

Hesham R. El-Seedi, Peter A.G.M. De Smetc, Olof Beckd,
G¨oran Possnert, Jan G. Bruhn, (2005). Prehistoric peyote use Alkaloid analysis and radiocarbon dating of archaeological specimens of Lophophora from Texas. Journal of Ethnopharmacology 101. 238â€"242.

So around 14.6g dry = 0.350g of mescaline

Total alkaloid weight would be around 1.168 grams.

I'd say this would be a minimum starting dose of quality dried peyote material for those wanting a psychadelic mescaline experience, but I'm only guessing from the data outlined in the paper so don't take my word for it.

Hey teotz,

I've emailed you the paper to have a look through.  I'm not sure if it is freely available on the net.

cheers
