May 12, 2008, 08:36:45 PM
Hi folks,

I am interested in trying my hand at some easy to grow tastey edible/medicinal mushrooms. sterile/spawn/syringes/agar cultures prefered. aya analogs also welcome. Also interested in alginate if someone has a pound or too collecting dust. Also would love to try some kratom extract/robust plants.

I have many things I can trade, though not as extensive as some folk here.

Masks-leather
Yopo seeds
Sonoma sisters smoking blend (brugamansia, lions tail and ca poppy ++)
dried leaf of calea Z
Dried plain salvia leaf, ground or whole.
other stuff too, PM specific wants. A few random seeds and such.

Thanks

The Rain Forest / kratom leafless
December 11, 2007, 01:33:13 PM
Heya folks,

My baby kratom plant has thrown its leaves and the new leaf sprouts have slight mold on them. I had been keeping humidity up with a bag over the pot like I do for my sallys during less humid months here. I took the bag off and allowed greater drainage when I discovered new growth with cobweb mold. Is there anything else I can do to save it?

thanks

The Salvia Plane / tincture
November 08, 2007, 10:07:41 PM
Yea, I found out how hard it is to work with! The weaker version was a flop IMO, but one of my friends got off on it. Worse the need for a larger amount was more than slightly stressful on the mouth...yeck! Even diluted...

I have  sonoma sisters smoke--active ingredients lions tail brugamansia and ca poppy.

Also 1-2 doses of yopo

amanita muscaria--formosa (yellow) :not my cup of tea, but some like it. If you are interested, as always do research.

What I am interested in: entheogenic plants (kratom, phylaris/Illinois Bundle Weed, SEEDS!, spores, ect)

Other things...just offer and I'll let you know if I am interested. There are certain to be things I'd like for me or others I have not yet considered. I also do leather masks, and other crafty things.

The Garden / pest: Blood red leaf powder?
October 17, 2007, 02:06:23 PM
My Heimia plant has blood red powder on the underside of the leaves. Some of the leaves are blushed color w/o powder. It has been dropping new growth and after vigorously growing for a month has started looking rough. The only changes I have made are a little fertilizer. They get watered 1-2 times a week. I mist now and then as well.

Please let me know if you know what this is or what to do about it. I will hand wash the leaves with tea tree soap.

Alright, So what I have done is two batches--extract and plain leaf. I have moon-trip 15x that I tossed into the smaller bottle. I had around an once of plain leaf--now floating in a larger batch of everclear.

I may test the weaker batch on myself to determine dosage (I'm guessing a shot-glass). I can  do plain leaf w/o a sitter. Any idea what a dose of 15x+ tincture would be? a few drops perhaps?

Thanks

One more thing to add to my trade list is a good quantity of datura seeds and a few dried flowers and foliage. Not really my thing, but I know many enjoy them.

shooot, I started watering almost daily (I forget sometimes) and they have already started growing faster! They have finally made it past the rim of the dish and are peeping out of the top...prolly 5mm since I posted this and they are wider too!  If I dig down to the actuaul base they are almost as long as my pinky now!! WOW!  :D

Well a lady (clueless--I think) who gave me my seeds showed me tobacco worms on hers...they apparently do quite a job.

The Salvia Plane / salvia tinctures
July 24, 2007, 08:39:09 PM
I am planning on making a tincture of my homegrown and of some of my enhanced leaf. Tips are appreciated, but please note that I am aiming for no more than a level 4 experience for most folks from this brew as it is intended for others use while I sit for them and they are inexperienced as yet so I don't want to toss them into seriously deep water right off.

That is how I went and it was both beautiful and very disorienting.

The Desert / speed of growth in P. Torch?
July 24, 2007, 08:31:40 PM
My torch cacti is going on 2 years old and is only about half the size of my pinky and about as thick as a pencil--maybe a tad more. It is in mixed soil--a little miracle grow recently mixed in, sand, verm, a little local clay, and some other stuff. There are two of them in a container the size of a child's bowl. It is watered once a week and gets plenty of sun. The humidity is high here and the temps range from 75-85 in the summer. They are seed grown. How fast are they supposed to grow? is this a normal growth rate? Any tips?

Thanks

sea mac,

How in the world do you manage this? Some of my plants are in bigger pots, but they never grow that much! I've had a few plants for a several years. I mean WOW! my best leaf was only 7inches and most only 2-3...

I live in the Appalachians...maybe they like more warmth? It gets to 85 here and is pretty humid.   :? I give them a fair amount of western sun...care to share?
