Quote from: "X. Torris"And I personally find the experience far too wrenching and disorienting to really consider it a preferable means of spiritual exploration.

Torris , you must be smoking salvia , not sure if you have ever quided , totally different trip . Mild and soothing , easy to meditate with , no break through into salvia land though .

Strictly for Spiritual exploration , I can't imagine salva for entertainment or just to get stoned .

The only preparation is making sure my life Insurance is current , she is one h*ll of a ride !

Quote from: "Dylan13"Hi everyone, I am new to this website, but I am totally devoted to exploring, promoting, and defending the spiritual use of entheogens. I am in the process of writing an article about the spiritual and mystical aspects of Salvia divinorum and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experiences, beliefs, or opinions of this plant and the experiences it facilitates. Thank you!

One post , one question type of guy I guess .

The Salvia Plane / So it is happening ...

Two years ago I said that Salvia Divinorum would be banned across the USA within five years , looks like it is already happening .

I hate to say it but the USA is really caught up in living in FEAR ..................like NEVER before in their History !!!

WHY ??

Well, it was more like sitting in a movie theater and seeing two different movies at once . One movie is playing right on the surface of your eyeballs, and the other movie is right in front of you, like a giant movie screen . You could watch either one or both at the same time . Although the "big screen version was more in your face, so I tended to "watch " that one more . I could feel my eyeballs actually vibrating super fast . Not sure what that was about, but reminded me of the "REM" state while dreaming.  :)

The Salvia Plane / Dual Visuals
November 29, 2006, 05:34:12 PM
A while back a certain fellow was pleased to experience a two fold drama unfold before his open eyes. After removing the curtain via Sally, there played before his closed eyes a number of pleasurable visual effects .
My what a surprise when the very experience that appeared before the closed eyes also appeared when open as well, there was  a "double vision".
The "real world" appeared to be transforming along with a rapid vibrating of the eyeballs, as well as a superimposed "neather world" experience running at the same time, like a screen on top of a screen.

Two totally different experinces unfolding at the same time, wow man.
Has this happened to any one else ?

Hey sunsebb ! Perhaps redgreenvines has the answer to this . He deposits pre-measured pure salvinorin on pieces of rolling paper and cuts them into small squares . These individual doses have a little wisp of smoke, and are easy on the lungs .

Next to that you could always do quids or other oral methods. :)

Orb, I don't believe it is either . Salvia is just another way to open the door to an altered state of consciousness .
I am not convinced that anything has a Spirit the same as a Human.

Tranceman, not to worry Sally, will shoot roots right out her *rse if she could . This plant sends roots wherever she gets wet pretty much.
It's cool. 8)

The first half dozen times or so the sexual drive was like a wild animal . Then right in the midst of this "desire" I said NO to the urge and redirected the energy towards focusing on deeper revelations. Since that time, I have never experienced that drive again .

Bongo there are so many variables it is impossible to say what would happen . Salvia is considered an "annual" plant in any area that gets frost. Now that is not to say that you may get away with mulching in an attempt to keep the roots from freezing . Salvia does not have a tuber or bulb, but just plain ordinary roots so your chance of success are limited.
If you could plant directly against your house foundation outside where the heat from inside your house keeps the wall warm, that's another story. I have had success with a number of Annuals down to -15c using that method. All the foliage dies off but the plants below the soil remain alive. When Spring arrives and the soil continues to warm up the plants become active and new growth has sprouted.
Another route would be to put heated cables in the soil around the plant

Bongo , this is something I have just started to experiment with . Kinda was thinking about how some plants need to be root bound before they flower... Maybe ??

Good-Bad, whats with that ? Can't say I eat from that tree, nor that I would stand in any kind of judgment.

Perhaps "interesting" may fit .
It appears through personal experience, that you manifest what you take into your experience. Like Astral traveling, it's the last few thoughts that really need to be controlled or you could end up in a place of your own creating.
