I woke up just after the first crash. After finishing up w/ the cream and sugar in my coffee I turned on the tv only to witness instant replays of the initial crash. I called some friends and family that weren't near the tube or a turned on radio and relayed the horrible news. Then the second one came and I was filled with this strange sensation of fear and impending doom that i've never before and never again felt after that day.

We have a family friend who actualy worked as a general handyman and elevator repair tech. at the first tower who was on call the day that it happened. What bothers me is that he doesn't seem afflicted by the whole thing at all but definately played the part to get his payments for going thru the whole mess. He's also got a bolt from one of the buildings that he keeps in a baggie in a drawer.

""Leave No Trace" was advertised all over the flyers and upon various signs, yet people get too fucked up to give a shit about pancha mama. "

ya kno i'm purdy sure  even the burners have a designated clean-up cru... general rule at all out-door-festival-broohaha is that there WILL be a mess and someone WILL have to pick up after the littardbugs... oh well! ya know i think if you even handed out trashbags you would have gotten the same result. being out of yer skull kinda sorta sometimes makes  you totaly forget where you placed things you need let alone trying to remember to throw out that empty bottle of beverage

all that other shit was wacked tho. i loved how the banditos got f'd in the A! wish all scenarios like that ended up similarly.........

thankx fo da pix (i like pix!!)

that's cool! also, i love the fact that anyone with the equipment and knowledge AND MONEY can purchase these gene sequences and mess around with them*. but i guess at the end of the day it's a bit of a double edged sword (bio-weapons etc.). one thing that confuses me is why they decided to use TOBACCO. i  kind of skimmed thru the report (even tho lanugage like this tends to make my brain bleed) and didn't find any actual reason for it. maybe i missed it? is tobacco easier to fudge around with in the laboratory than other plants/animals? anyway, i would think that this could have been accomplished better in a plant species closer to the actual cannabis plant but at the end of the day  i guess it doesn't realy matter what plant you're using (or animal for that matter) being that you're "injecting" DNA sequences. Also am i correct in thinking that GenBankTM owns the copyright for this sequence?

I wonder how many amateur geneticists are out there doing this stuff (the non-lethal variety) at home. [tangent]Techinacly speaking, IMO,  biochem reactions could become antiquated  once the lab is turned into vats of genome enhanced  bacteria churning out pure-as-can-be endproducts. [/tangent]

Quotehere are a couple more exemple of flyers.
i dont have a printer here, so i got no clue what it looks like in print. i got to wait for someone to comment on that to change things.

Great artwork.

Don't have to print them out to say that they would look horrible printed out on an average home printer. Just the  toner costs would be thru the roof if you're looking to print out a significant ammount. If they were professionaly printed en masse you'd still have to shell out $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

If you got rid of all of that color and just kept it black, white, gray, and another solid color you'd be onto something. Just black and white would be best IMO.  One would still have to invest some to print the thing but it would be much more considerate on the pocket/printer.

They are usualy sliced once , dried on a string and added to soups and other dishes for flavor. Boletets keep well like this hanging in a cool dry spot. I think it actualy intensifies/enhances the flavor too. You can also pickle them ... but that's another story.   For the most part, they are used as a seasoning/flavor enhancement and for making base sauces. I don't think I've ever seen grandma' use them fresh and/or to make up one dish out of just them.  I have seen her use a mix of wild mushrooms (boletes , chanterellesss, etc. whateverelsewasfruitngatthetime) to make a stuffing for pierogis on the otherhand.

the BASIC recipie:

2:1 ratio of mushrooms and onion fried with a couple cloves of garlic
season it with whatever you want (salt pepper ofcourse) ... i'm partial to a healthy addition of taragon and oregano (also a 2:1 ratio). your palette may vary so ...

spoon into dough and make pierogies

pardon the vagueness as all the cooking in my family and by myself is done by eye (and tongue?yeh)

Quote from: "Veracohr"Oh man,  fuck MySpace!!

I signed up there with the intent of creating a musician's MySpace page, but I accidentally signed up for a regular account. I wanted to use the same email address for the musician one, but they only allow one account per email address. I tried to cancel my account, but it never went through. I have gone through the cancel account procedure upwards of 100 times, to no avail. I have written emails begging them to cancel the account, but they still haven't.

So I say again...

Fuck MySpace!!

I had a similar problem. I e-mailed them ~3 times if memory serves me right. They finaly canceled it after I decided to spice it up with vulgarities. Peppering the whole e-mail with the word FUCK in its' various forms seemed to do the trick.

good luck with that

Hey , if you have a chance or the ability to make a digital copy of the article for our downloading pleasure, I would really appreciate it. I'd love to read what Heads magazine has written about him.

I'm willing to send you something in return if you need some incentive.

Thanks

as far as i know they have moved to a new server and are in the process of ironing out all of the kinks which seem to pop up when doing such a thing.
