Title: Blacklight = 5MEO-DMT!!
Post by: senorsalvia on September 11, 2005, 03:06:08 PM
Something I read in the newspaper this morning.....Wildlife researchers in Austrailia say they have a unique way to trap and kill the destructive cane toad--- By flashing disco-style black light as a lure..  Frogwatch coordinator Grahm Sawyer discovered that swirling dark UV lights were an instant sucess after moving red and blue lights failed in earlier experiments..  He said more than 1,500 toads have been caught using the technique since it was discovered in January :D  :D  :D -----    Guess everybody oughta drag out those ole part lights and put 'em to some good use eh??? :P  8) -----------------  sal

That is really great.  At first when I thought you were talking alvarius I thought, gee, I guess the toads actually must know they have 5meo in 'em.

I just love the visual of a bunch of toads hopping toward a black light.  It would be a much nicer image if we were talking alvarius as in the end they would not be killed but rather milked, maybe danced with a little bit, and sent on their way.

But how surprising is this, I mean really, who doesn't like a good black light?

maybe, just MAYBE they've learned that blacklights attract insects
nice juicy insects....
Yummmmmm.....

Or that they see the light and the insects and are attracted
the movement of disco lights may seem like a swarm of insects to them
I think that's very likely.

Cane toads don't have 5-MeO-DMT in their venom. They have bufotenine in their venom. However, some people have licked such toads to ill effect.
