Once upon a time called now we got 20 registered here at the refugee camp. That's out of 3200 or more.
I was hoping for a lot more by now. Any ideas?
ideas!
yeah, we need some e-mail addresses.
Since i'm working on a new hard drive, i lost all my old contact sheets
no lw, no finbar...who's got addresses? And can you use em?
hey jrl - how's it going over in that american location?
judih
Unfortunately a lot of my stuff was saved on guess what? Spiritplants PMs!
So we just keep plugging along, when I do find someone I lean on them a little if neccasary.
American location is great, been teaching to much and playing to little, unfortunatley. But I'll tell you what(authentic Americanism) teaching guitar sure pays better than playing guitar and the other up side is getting reaquainted with my wife and family.
Been corresponding with young Yogi, making definite plans for a visit this summer. TJ understands that he's really trying to do something, he can probably stay here as long as he likes. I told him I would try to line up a gig, unfortunatly guitar players here are like locusts in Israel. What I need is any recordings of or by him.
I still think about our time together, get it out and look at like a precious gem. Give my regards to the family.
Oh yeah, I finally got my bio done on my site //http://www.joelev.com
yogi's definitely working on a new CD. i think ahl's heard it (oldest son). Guitarists may be like locusts (and how well i know the aptness of the metaphor), but don't tell me there's one like the Yo (gi). He's something else. & i'm sure he'll be sending you samples - especially if you mention it.
We'll do what we can from here.
We're doing okay. Gad listens to the endless news broadcasts for entertainment value and meanwhile, we're waiting to see how Palestine shapes itself into a viable nation.
Meanwhile, it's uzi shots as usual and a lot of serious hopes for the real kinda peace.
Great bio, Joe. Very rich quilted history.
Actually Yogi reminds me a lot of two of my friends, musicmasters both. I would love to get them together on stage.
Well now, here's a place that could use a little more cow-bell.
I just got off the phone with toostoned and he turned me on to this little safe-haven. I've been trying spf every couple of daze, enjoying the time away from cyber-landia but ready to write a little, maybe.
Glad to see you'se guys keeping the flame lit for us lost sailors.
jrl: I'm hoping to get out your way sooner than later. An old friend up in placerville who is fighting some sort of lymphoma called the other day with his new addy and number. (Moved from east bay.) He's been on my mind a lot as of late, even before his last call. Anyway, I'd like to see him and that's not far from you. (Toostoned says he'll prolly come along.) But things is still loose........
Its so nice to reunite with the cyber-familia once again...
lw
Btw, I may have finny's email addy stored in this computer or maybe me head...
lw
Yeah mon, P-ville is just down the road apiece, 30 miles or so.
I knew the family would survive, but I hope we don't lose the document/artifact that the nearly 100, 000 posts at SPF is. Lot of us spilled a lot of life on those pages.
Well nothing left to do but smoke smoke smile!
btw, I emailed finny and jiku last night.
lw
great work, lw

judih-
Hope I don't have to wait that long. He said something about live tapes, and I asked about getting some rough mixes from what he's working on.
everybody-
Does anyone know a brother called cj2 from SPF. I lost his address when the site went down, I want to make good on a trade.
JRL, you live near Placerville? Small world! I lived in Grass Valley for the last two years, before coming to North Carolina. Beautiful country, good people in them thar hills... :)
I live at the corner of I 5 and US 50, right where 50 goes across the river.
I have spent a lot of time in Nevada County, Nevada City mostly.
Ever hear BB and the Blue Jays? Good chance you heard me. Played at Coopers many times with different bands Nevada Club the same.
Howdy--- thanks to those who had the initiative to set up the refugee camp. Even if SPF as we know it never goes back up (God forbid!), I really hope we find some way to archive all the old posts. That place is a treasure trove of info---- to say nothing of the good people I've met there.
JRL--- I believe I know the alter ego of cj2 at another forum. I'll PM him and get him to contact you here.

Now I can! I`ll whatch them double posts..
I finally stumbled my way here. I'll post the url at a bunch of places. It's bound to hit a few people. Don't expect 3200 old members to show up. Most of them were no longer active anyway. If we are lucky we might get 100 or so.
