How about raising the limits on our pm message boxes? Right now it's set at 50. It used to be 100 at the old spf but then Eddy lowered it to 50. Does it really save significant amounts of money in bandwidth and storage? For most people it means when you get a message you have to delete an old one. I suggest going back to the 100 message limit. Some boards give unlimited email space and delete all old ones once a year. Some give a max of 200 but leave it up to you to delete them. Does anyone think 100 would be a better limit?
Speaking of costs, we could recoup much of andy's expenses by having a tasteful banner or two. I can think of a few vendors that might be interested. We could also have paid classified ads.
Stoney, I'm indifferent to the PM limit thing (whine: nobody writes to you when you're old). I see no reason why the site shouldn't raise some off-setting funds with tasteful banners or classifieds, though I think we should stick with the creme de vendors.

I recall at the old forum, there was eternal discussion of Spiritplants T shirts. I always wanted one, and it never seemed to happen.
Is the logo available for that use? I have a bit of experience in that kind of production, and I would be willing to take point on the production/selling/shipping to benefit the site.
It seemed to me back-when that the effort always foundered because it would become too complex, with too many cooks spilling the broth.
Or did everyone else get a T but me? :evil:
An elegant black T with just the logo I see right now, maybe over the heart, maybe larger on the back, would be great. If it flies, we could always do another, more ambitious one later. I think it would be an instant hit. Hell, I might get a tattoo.
I'd be willing to donate the cost of producing, receiving orders, and shipping an initial run of Ts, with purchase funds going elsewhere (to an admin, Andy, whatever) so there would be no question of aboveboardness.

Hemp would be cool, but prolly too pricey...and just think about pulling all those stems into fibers, winding them into the spinning wheel, weaving, crushing blackberries for dye...besides, sometimes I need those stems for emergencies...

A spiritplant t-shirt did happen. They looked great. I've got one. Could only convince about 20 other people to buy one at the time though. If interested, I could ask my friend Gwylmn who made them if he still has the screen print........

I sure would love the limit raised as I hate deleting all the time or trying to save them offline. I do not how much trouble that would cause or cost, but it still would be very nice.
