* * * On this week's show * * *
* Featured New Rock Album: Death Cab for Cutie, *I Built You a Tower* (2026) . . . It's been 15 years (6/11/2011) since this great Washington State indie rock band was featured on this show . . . & it was just hearing a random track from their new LP that caught my attention again . . . they're back on an indie label & making music that matters again . . . good, cool music too . . . so glad to welcome them back!
* Featured Classic Rock Album Redux: Mazzy Star, *So Tonight That I Might See* (1993) . . . Guitar genius David Roback had been in Rain Parade for one album, then Opal for another . . . through various occurrences he ended up paired with singer-songwriter Hope Sandoval, & the music they made together was total magick . . . this album drones, groans, croons beautifully . . . a dream long remembered, lucky captured on vinyl . . .
* Storybook Time*: *Center of the Cycle: An Autobiography of Inner Space* by Dr. John C. Lilly . . .
* Readings from *Bags End News* & *Labyrinthine* . . . & this week's featured artist is Billy Joel, & wonderful live & studio songs from his later 1970s work . . . the Lunatick Faux King is losing more than winning these days, but wise minds have warned this is when he is even more dangerous in passing . . . such as he do not go down quick or quiet . . . but November tick-tocks ever nearer . . .
