On this week's show:

* Featured New Rock Album: Django Django, *Born Under Saturn* (2015) . . . Second LP by this English rock band, one I had lost track of for a few years until recently . . . they remind me of the psych rock band Temples in the best of ways, trippy candy fun . . . both bands bite deep, though, somehow, more than just lysergic ear pretties . . .

* Featured Classic Rock Album: Crosby, Stills, & Nash, *Daylight Again* (1982) . . . I was a freshman in college when this record came out, & used to play the hit single from it, "Wasted on the Way," over & over on the local pizza joint jukebox, after college classes over for the day . . . it was a difficult album to make for CSN, as David Crosby was half-gone in his addictions . . . yet they persevere to make a really beautiful record anyway. . .

* Storybook Time*: Continuing Chapter 15 of *The Unconsoled* by Kasuo Ishiguro . . .

* Readings from *Many Musics*, *Bags End News*, & *Labyrinthine* . . .  & this week's featured artist is Gary Wright, & some psych gems of his from the 1970s . . . half awake right now, dreaming of my pen moving wet across paper for hours on end tomorrow . . . hours & hours, then this show to celebrate upon arrival back home . . .

On this week's show:

* Featured New Rock Album: The Wood Brothers, *One Drop of Truth* (2018) . . . Been several years since this Nashville alt-folk rock's last release, & the new one is a winner . . . good players, singers, they write songs that are both mellow & intense, that feel to range deep down whatever their mild-seeming landscapes . . . & the further along into this LP you travel, the headier the brews you try . . .

* Featured Classic Rock Album Redux: The Traveling Wilburys, *Vol. 1* (1988) . . . Hugh Jampton writes: "The original Wilburys were a stationary people who, realizing that their civilization could not stand still forever, began to go for short walks—not the "traveling," as we now know it, but certainly as far as the corner and back. They must have taken to motion, in much the same way as penguins were at that time taking to ledges, for the next we hear of them they were going out for the day (often taking lunch or a picnic). Later, we don't as yet know how much later, some intrepid Wilburys began to go away for the weekend, leaving late Friday and coming back Sunday. It was they who evolved simple rhythmic forms to describe their adventures" . . . This is their first, amazingly wonderful, LP record . . .

* Storybook Time*: Continuing Chapter 15 of *The Unconsoled* by Kasuo Ishiguro . . .

* Readings from *Many Musics*, *Bags End News*, & *Labyrinthine* . . .  & this week's featured artist is Cage the Elephant, & some nice-nice tracks from their 2017 live album, *Unpeeled* . . . deep in the winter to burrow deeper into the warm, shadowy places rather than to freeze with what's exposed . . .

On this week's show:

* Featured New Rock Album: Calexico, *The Thread That Keeps Us* (2018) . . . Classic Tex-Mex indie rock band took a trip to California, came back with some rocking tunes, some pleas for sanity, healing, love, some great music to add to the many albums of great music they have produced already . . .

* Featured Classic Rock Album: Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer, *When I Go* (1998) . . . This indie folk-rock duo was only together for about five years before Carter's way-too-soon death . . . they made a whole lot of great music, sweet voices, ringing guitars, lyrics to puzzle & move you . . . this was their first LP together & already they are wonderful . . .

* Storybook Time*: Continuing Chapter 15 of *The Unconsoled* by Kasuo Ishiguro . . .

* Readings from *Many Musics*, *Bags End News*, & *Labyrinthine* . . .  & this week's featured artist is Cage the Elephant, & more nice-nice tracks from their 2017 live album, *Unpeeled* . . . this show also features a new Sound Collage I made in the weaker hours the night before this live broadcast . . . what fun to be alive & trying to make something good!
