I mix up my water soluble fertilizers like so until I get a nice muddy green color. I then simply let my cacti sit in this for a few hours undiluted or if i a bog-ponic stage then they sit in this continually, but I will dilute it out to a light muddy green color. Its not hydroponics as I keep the soil mixture and my soil is enriched with bone meal and blood meal so that gives another source of nutrition in addition to the liquid fertilizers.

It definitely works for me Stonehenge. I have several hundred seedlings I've been growing like this for a while. I have seedlings in cups grown this way, grafted specimens as you can see grown this way, and larger cacti grown this way as well.
I just removed this group from the water. So, you can get a good idea for how long these sat in this deep of water...
These others have been sitting in approximately this much water give or take for months.
I never knew you could put cactus cuttings into water and leave them like that
You can grow cacti hydroponically without any soil. My method simply adds soil.

You set your cuttings in water and they root but don't rot? It makes sense, its like hydro.
Yes, bog-ponics is just like hydro only with soil added. This one is seed grown on its own roots so it doesn't count as a cutting, but it seems to be doing fine just the same.
And this cold damage has prompted me to plant 1000 + more freak seeds for grafting.

Temperature culling performed again since last post. Many more plants and cacti seedlings lost. I'm more than happy with those that made it. I'll try to get some pictures updated before too much longer to show the damage as well as those that were strong enough to take a hit and not even sweat it.
