Post by: jonah on May 28, 2005, 02:52:49 PM
anyone know how i can get rid of moles without ruining my yard?  they're really making my dad's yard look like shit, and the dogs are always digging their tunnels up looking for them.  it sucks.

thanks.

haha I could post for hours on this one....first determine if they are moles or gophers.  gophers eat plants, and have larger tunnels, moles eat bugs and worms and disrupt the gardens, but not as bad as gophers.
Watch caddyshack for what not to do about gophers....then use google as its more complicated thatn one would think.  These animals are smart, and trying to catch and kill them can lead to mental disorders...

Plant castor beans in the invected yard.  By the time the bean plants are 3 feet tall all the moles, gophers, and most ants (inciuding red ants) will leave the area.
