Remember Subversal? Dissident? Camel? Eddy?
Azure, Cassie, Kosmic Journey, DI, Fu?
Some great folks, some nuts, takes all kinds I guess.
Remember Arkansas Traveler? He controlled the weather with his orgone accumulator.
Syd?
Senor Salvia?
Walkinyan.
Cassie appears on facebook, occasionally, but haven't seen her in a bit.
Good questions, all. Good people. Hope they're well
Looking down the members list and seeing all these names..... This place was really special, so many amazing people.
And winder, jojoba, raver... others too. It would be amazing to see eddy show up and tell us what happened.
We were talking about having a revival, starting a contest with prizes and so on. Anyone still on board?
Yep, let me know what i can do!
I see Fuzz on Facebook too, and Evil Wonka.
I'm finally back online after lightning took out my computer. Was nice to see my old nickname, DI mentioned. ;D
Glad you're back!!
Its good to see you, gl. People are starting to drift back. Maybe we will have a revival after all.

He popped up on the nook a little while back just briefly.
The Notorious P.I.G is back ;)

Yay, it's Piggers!
Pleasure to be back in contact with y'all :)
Will look forward to contributing to the discussions :)

Walkinyan.
You mean... Wakinyan, but its all good brother. It is good to see you are still on here. I've been moving around a bit to say the least. You are certainly traveling back in time though with many of those names JRL.
So many amazing people.
Ringworm, man its been years since I've talked to him.
Ringworm showed up briefly at the nook a few months ago.
I too may have wandered back around these parts. IRC Sure is dead these days (right now literally, it is down).
And actually reset my password now :)
hi nitro
good to see you!
Yeah, good to see you back, nitro.
Wakinyan!
Thanks Bushpig, it is amazing how time flies and how many of us old heads are still around lurking. I must say that I've been impressed with much of the work going on in the Trichocereus, Echinopsis, Lobivia type hybrid groups and I'm always interested in seeing what if anything new is cooking along those terms as I feel that we have just reaching the tip of the iceberg with the diversity that is out there in pure form... never mind all the mind bending hybrids being developed.
Dissident here, how is everyone?
I've been running a small hole-in-the-wall 'shitposting' website, and I didn't even know this place was still around. One day I did a search, just out of curiosity, and lo and behold, here you all are.
Anyone found Eddy yet?
I will probably post here now and then, when I get time.
OMG, Dissident! I usta be D.I., great to hear from you man. :D
you catfished me, DI!
hey Brother! Good to see your type. No sign of Eddie as far as i know.
Hey jrl, d.i....how has everyone been?
some familiar, legendary names around here still...I see judih, nitroburn, cenacle, roach, et. al.
I see even pkeffect has been active this year. Wait, he is an admin here.
Who runs this place? I see you guys are using SMF....decent choice....
I use it myself. Wait, why is my text getting smaller? Am I on drugs? Yeah, I'm on drugs. Of course I'm on fucking drugs.
If I wasn't such a cheap bastard, I would use xenforo.
Enough about website design, I want to know where brown is. Has anyone seen brown lately? You know, rubenesque pollock, about 5'6", dark hair, probably looks just like roman bellic from grand theft auto 4.....Anyone seen anyone like that?
He,(or maybe a Brown bot) was seen hanging around the chatroom.
Quote from: JRL on April 20, 2015, 02:20:22 PMa Brown bot
This is a thing?
I haven't used IRC in years, so this is a serious question heh.
If I type long enough, will my text get smaller like before, or did I inadvertently hit the font size button or something?
Guess it was the latter.
For a second, I thought that was a 'feature' of some kind. I know how wierd you guys can get....
I see that the declining popularity of specialized forums, and the rise of wal-mart-like, smartphone-friendly sites like reddit killing off all the mom and pop competition, has hit this place pretty hard.
It's a shame, really....This place used to be the top of the heap as far as drug knowledge sites go.....Now, it is sort of like being the best 'white-out' correction fluid salesman ever, in an age of powerful and cheap processing power.
R.I.P., specialized discussion forums.
Nice typing with you again, JRL, DI...I am going back to my shitposting headquarters.
I will check in often, I promise.
Love you all.....
'The man with a thousand usernames...formerly known as 'dissident'
I remember you dissident. Yeah, its a shadow of its former self, a ghost really. A lot of sites are losing members. Might be due to facebook and junk like that.
Yeah, stonehenge, I am sure we typed in IRC, many, many years ago...

I blame 'smartphones'. Discussion forums just aren't suited for the new ways of using the internet.
But hey, not all change is bad. How about that 'darknet', eh? Now that's really something. There are literally stores where you can just order drugs like its ebay or amazon or some shit.
And not just drugs, but like, really good drugs.
It's not as easy as I just made it sound, but its really not even that hard. We are living in some historical times, maaaan.
I tried but somebody told me Instagram isnt a delivery service.
One would tend to expect great things from a service called 'insta-gram'.

Its just basic stuff, really....At minimum you want to use PGP and TAILS OS on a flash drive/SD card/disc...
Then you use TOR and enter the address of whatever 'black marketplace' you prefer...
There is a version of PGP built into TAILS OS, but you will need to use PGP outside of TAILS at least once, to validate the .iso.
I was actually in the process of working on a tuturial to post on my forums...It's going good, but I ran into a little hitch, I switched from GPG4win to GPG4usb, and I haven't yet figured out how to validate signatures with the new program.
Once I work that out, I will be done with the stupid thing, and if there is any sort of demand for it, I will post it here.
Here is an excerpt on working with PGP4usb:
--------------------------------
PGP
Learn PGP first, you will need it to
'verify' the TAILS software after you download it.
Here is a freeware PGP site, where you can practice the basics:
https://www.igolder.com/pgp/encryption/ (https://www.igolder.com/pgp/encryption/)
When you are ready, or if you just want to get right to it,
Here is a decent PGP application:
http://www.gpg4usb.org/l (http://www.gpg4usb.org/l)
Using PGP
----------------
First, you will need your own PGP key:
Manage Keys ---> Key>Generate Key
Fill in a fake name, fake email, and a password.
When we work with PGP keys, we want to select the entire key,
from the beginning of the first lines that look like this:
-----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
Version: GnuPG v2
To the end of the very last lines, that look like this:
-----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
All of it, the body and the above enclosing lines.
Here is <redacted name of website, to avoid 'advertising' on other sites> public key as an example:
-----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
Version: GnuPG v1

Hah! Good one, but are you sure you wouldn't rather go with something a bit more substantial? I hear Meat Loaf isn't terribly busy these days.
I been working a lot lately but got a bit of time off now. Stopped in to say hi and read some posts. I have a newfound appreciation for mitragyna speciosa, and I can't think of a better place anywhere on the internet to find the best info on the subject.
Just wanted to let everyone know that GeniusLoci aka Dan passed away about a week ago. One of the smartest and most interesting people I've known. Rest in peace, my friend.
R.i.p. Dan.
appreciate you letting us know, Mateo.
I'm sorry to hear that.
Dan was a good friend, one of the coolest of the cool. Im so sorry!
JG is still here ;-). I always did more lurking than chatting though
Mornin, still kicking just got a new connect. needed the break but need to catch up nice to see folks are still keeping the family alive. Peace Pan ps <3
hi Pan
so we're all moseying through the same park. sometimes stop to sit a spell and then get up to carry on.
each season has a reason so I hope to plant some old seeds, ie p. viridii and such in the latittude and see what becomes of them obviously indoors and summer excusions, poppies do woderfully here if planted right but need to sort the var. out among the bread seed so a totally different change of pace from florida type patterns but thankfully in a semi banana belt so a nice summer. btw the breaks from the intermesh are good for the mind. peace pan <3 ps tips hat to judih thanks
Loss sucks so bad as member do as the flowers fade we deffinetly need to step back and smell the roses before rebirth comes
Hi Pan!!!! Loss seems to be a big part of life when you get my age. Seems like I got at least oine memorial a month to go to.......
RIP Kemp and all the other casulties from this sector.
if nobody minds, perhaps we can all agree to stick things out till Fall. meanwhile, let's sing, write poetry, plant seeds, enjoy the bounties of nature.
hat tip to all those missing but breathing or otherwise enjoying these short planetary years.
No Doubt we need to feel the need to breed seed and pass the read to those in need peace
It's kinda how this and other fourms have had life / seed /rebirth and the loss.. but wouldn't it be nice to have the free for all seed exchange and such to be renewed, it's wabbit season and there might be a magic one. The plants reveal life to me better than myself. peace pan
Long time..... I used to hang out here and I remember all the old names. No faces to go with them but a lot of very interesting folks. It all seems like a lifetime ago. I have been through so much. Change is the only constant. I remember the original Spiritplants and the sudden loss of that forum. A lot of precious material was lost when that site went down. What ever happened to Eddy? There doesn't seem to be much activity here and that is a shame.
hi domino. Good to see you.
not sure where Eddy went. Those were rich days. lots of people, lots of interaction.
cheers to all wherever you may be
I think many of us miss the old days where the communication was genuine and well thought out. The sharing was plentiful and the interactions left one feeling like one had learned a great deal about another entity, oneself, nature, etc. Sometimes it was just laughs and good times. It is definitely nice when someone pokes there head in after a long stay away. Those that return and spend a few moments with a few more posts are fewer and farther between.
Hi Domino, glad you are back.
>What ever happened to Eddy?
That is the big question no one knows the answer to. He just dropped out of sight. Rumor has it he was involved in some dangerous big time deal which may have gone wrong.
@Wakinyan
> It is definitely nice when someone pokes there head in after a long stay away.
This is true
Hi Judih. Hi Stonehenge. It has been quite a ride since I last hung around here. When the crises hit in '08 I dug my heels in and slowly started ramping my business up. I started working with a new main contractor. I am a subcontractor and mostly do gym floors, some stages and aerobics along with some high end residential. Things got really stressful around '13, '14 and I have finally cut back a bit. I was working myself into an early grave. There is way more to life than constant stress and money doesn't matter if you don't have time and a serene outlook.
So here I am. Still love plants and their properties. My Lady has a green thumb and since I've been so busy, she has taken some time to grow some beautiful cacti. I would love to grow some other greens but as of now, in Michigan you need a medical card for such. You know, I've never been much for asking permission.
interesting journey. Glad you made the decision to offer yourself more time away from stress. My mind wants to incorporate more fun into my work, and sometimes it happens.
I'm inching towards retirement (first to visualize it!)
Stress hit us all in regards to the economy tanking here. Some I imagine felt it worse than others. Still, it is nice you were able to recover and having someone special who also has a green thumb is a definite plus. I look forward to seeing some of your specials one day when you get the chance to post. I love growing cacti from seed and right now I have several that look are already appealing to me even though they are quite small. Thanks for sharing Domino.
