Hey, my hbwr vine has a lot of flowers now, and viable seeds were abundant last year. Don't know how many I will end up with this time, but it won't be a long wait to find out. As far as a trade, not sure what you have. I'm brand new here, so will look around to see if you have posted about that. I guess e. novo would top my want list. By the way, these hbwr are strong - swim ate four and didn't get up off the couch for five hours...

pinellas county florida. We had no frost here for the last two winters, so this and the rivea and the caapi vines are going to town.

I hope you have good luck with them. I never got any seeds myself and I'm in a warm area too. You may have a good microclimate. Not even my caapi are flowering this year.
Just for the record, I've lived in Florida and grown HBWR from seed and produced seed on my plants grown in Florida. This was in St. Augustine, Florida. So, it can be done. With that said, I've never had my B.c. flower in Florida, but I have known people who have gotten it to flower further south in Florida towards Orlando. I've also had Psychotria alba produce seed in St. Augustine Florida to the point where I definitely had a lb of seed if not more from my alba plants. One thing to consider is that there is genetic diversity in seedlings and there is also a matter of different growing styles/methods, soil amendments, watering schedules, fertilizers, etc. to take into consideration.
