Its the same here, rich people pay off the govt and can do anything they want, up to a point. The point is reached when the media starts harping on it then the pols have to do something. They hang the little thieves, the ones who can't pay off well or refuse. A slap on the wrist to the big thieves. Politicians being the biggest thieves.
