A trade forum would be nice. We had the trade winds, I think it was called, at the old forum.

i think a forum dedicated to fermented beverages is entirely apropos, though i dont know if there would be sufficient dialog to justify.

Experience reports would seem to fly in the face of the previous incarnation of this board's policy of...

no self incrimination

I'd like to see an extraction/isolation/acquisition forum...  Non incriminatory, naturally..........  senorsal

No self incrimination is a good concept but that does not rule out experience reports if properly written. Eddy's old policies do not need to be our policies neccessarily. We should have a shroom forum for sure.

I think that I'd be in favor of a SPAM forum where there could be a disclaimer that all posts are potentially from scam artists, and leave the rest of the site completely free of ANY advertisements.

I don't think we should lock out the spammers completely (just don't let them post photos and eat up bandwidth)

whaddya all think 'boput that one?

yeah, that's what  'The Shaman's Hut' was meant to be for eh?
Can we please re-instate all the old forums now?
All their moderators have returned.

hmmmm- was that irony?  can't tell.....

...this morning, I found a cached forum of the old SPF. Couldn't progress beyond it, but maybe Google has something cached that could be retrieved?

I'll go look some more.

cen: I'm curious as to the cannabis cafe. Could you give me some idea of the planned content?

point of clarification:
I reckoned reinstate the forums and i made a post about it ... i also thought some others were worth a try too but i was not responsible for the sudden apearance of the full plate, and was just as surprised as anyone.
I notice nitroburn has removed the cannabis cafe already ... is the experience report one to follow the same fate?
Lets have some slack here til things are decided.  Its all moved way too fast for me.

The Shaman's Hut as I understood it was about transforming plants into potions - including but not limited to extractions and methods of use.  It was not meant to be an archive of experience accounts.

There are other places that serve to archive experience reports, but that do not actively exchange information as to how to work with plants.

Working with the plants is the niche filled by this place.  Leave the experience reports where they are archived elsewhere.

I want to rant about something that I see way too much of. There seems to be a trend on the net to use the word "cacti" whenever possible even when inapropriate. Why is the cactus forum called "cacti club"? That's like saying roses garden or shrimps farm. You wouldn't say that, you'd say rose garden, shrimp farm, banana plantation and so on. We know it's talking about more than one rose, one shrimp and one banana. I see people saying "a cacti" all the time and its because they see it misused so often. Can't we call the cactus forum "cactus club" or something like that? Maybe put it to a vote or something but cacti club is awkward and encourages the wrong use of the word.

/rant

Mightn't the rain forest be combined with the garden? It seems to overlap a lot. Or else spin off another forum for edibles and non ethnogens if there is enough interest. We don't want to spread ourselves too thin. In what way does the rain forest differ from the garden? Maybe the garden should be renamed the rain forest since it was a name used at the old spf?
