i'm doing a 3 day puppetry workshop (not poetry) on Being Different I have a bunch of puppet ideas but no core idea for a play...and i don't wanna do the same old 'being different' ideas.anybody?any thoughts?help, please!
Different is a lot like being distinguished. Who wants to be a sheep like all the others and run with the herd all the time? Strike out on your own and be your own person.
Ever see the animated movie called, "The Point!"?
Wikipedia has a good write up on the story, but it's not letting me make a link. Even though I copy the addy for the story in question, the link keeps taking me to a page about west point. (Google: The Point!)

I'm not sure if it would be too tough to pull off, but maybe check it out..
hi Stoney -yeah, i know - i just need to gather enough stimulus to encourage the kids to go for it
LW- the Point - yes, i love it. Harry Nilsson songs
I remember watching it years ago.
I thought of it. There's a similar story in Hebrew called a world of Baldies. Everyone is bald except for one lone girl who grows hair on her head and she ducks around corners hiding in the sewers... I was also thinking of that great Dave Chappelle skit where the blind Afro-American from the south is a hard-nosed racist a la KKK until one day someone mentions that he's not white. I love that ironic scenario, but will the kids? 15 year olds? hmmm
thanks for the input
LOL We have been discussing that skit by Dave C around here recently. I love the part where he had to divorce his wife because he couldn't stand to be with anyone who could love a black person. "White Powr!"
haha!
it's all in the mind
