Even though I was never a big fan as a kid, I've been digging a few old Elvis movies as of late. The early 60's psychedelic inspired fashion, cars, language, etc are a hoot, imo. Anyway, some folks released this vid that caught my attention.

You got to know this about Elvis: He was an avatar, born to beautify the page. I've been a Preslytarian since the 70s. I dedicated myself to E in Las Vegas in 1979 at the Silverbird Casino. I got thrown out skipping through the place shouting "great god almighty I'm free at last" Elvis smiled!

I was down in Vegas playing with Ronnie White a supernaturally good Elvis tribute guy. He sat me down and told me that one day in January 1935 two spirits were about to descend from the heavens to be incarnated as humans, and at the last minute, the spirits destined for Mrs. White and Mrs. Presley switched at the last minute. "So you see, I was supposed to have been Elvis!"
At that point the sky opened and Percodans and Valiums rained from the sky, followed by peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. I had a revelation: "We are ALL Elvis and Elvis is everywhere. Elvis is is part of everything and everything is a part of Elvis" I look around and there were Elvii everywhere. It was like a vision(I later found out that there was an Elvis impersonator convention at the hotel, but that doesn't change anything now, does it?).
I feel to my knees and cried too the velvet Elvis painting "I'm All Shook UP but I Can't Help Falling in Love with you." My Suspicious Mind was transformed to a Hunk of Burning Love!!!
I was truly born again in a bejeweled jump suit!
