Assad is a bad guy, no doubt about it. But so are the ones who are trying to replace him. Why should we help either side?

Not sure which psychos you refer to, bush. You could take your pick of psychos on either side of that battle. I was referring to usa going in and getting involved which seemed to be a possibility at the time.
Turkey is meddling, iran is involved to some degree, saudi arabia is involved a lot. Many fighters from surrounding countries. The opposition is so fragmented they fight each other, much to the delight of assad no doubt. Assad seems to be winning and the opposition does not want to compromise so it looks like it will be a military ending.
I wonder if bin ladin has ripped thru all those virgins yet.
