Well, senor is presently in central Fl getting ready to screen tommorow for his clinical research tria)l.......... (Some may remember I mentioned I do this once a year).. Yep, taking experimental drugs  --- Heck, it pays better than a grand a week, and, after all, one just must sacrifice in the name of science   -----------
hey senor, can you give us any details of the study?
Sure thing Indy--- Although the outfit I'm associated with test all sorts of drugs, on all sorts, sex, ages people: I entered a trial where they give you a drug that hopefully will become the fist drug treatment to treat Hep-C effectively-- Which, unfortunately, I am afflicted with-------------- senorsal
senor, you got the job that most of us here at SPF aspire to: DRUG TESTER!
On a more serious note, sorry to hear you are afflicted with hep c. Know you got brothers and sisteres here.
Glad to see it's working out for you this year, senor. I don't remember what the deal was last year but I know you couldn't take part in the study because of some reason, and you were looking forward to the annual influx of cash. At least you managed to get back home, right?!
Good luck with the drug trials. Let's hope they got it right the first time so you can rid yourself of the Hep. C.
Thanks to all 'fer the good vibes -n-wishes... Yeah, I got aced out at the initial pre-screen process last year due to high blood pressure... (actually due to my penchant at that time for knocking back copious nightly brewski's :D ---) So, this round, I have been a good boy and have been taking blood pressure meds, and refraining from the hops  ---- As far as the Hep itself goes.... Well, all I can say is my liver enzyme levels are fairly high in a negative way, but at the same time, I have always been completely asymptomatic as far as any of the reputed 'bad' signs such as aches/pain/fatigue, and all the rest.... Ya know, the only negative aspect of my overall participation in this program seeems to be, that by the time I complete the whole process and get paid, alas, most of the good summer super concerts have already been held  ---- senorsal
Warmest regards senor .. i hope the cure isnt too nasty for ya ... my friend was just involved in a 26 week trial which had some horrid side-effects ... i do hope it has cured her and i sure hope this cures you.
Sounds like your friend took Pegalated Interferon---- I was offered that a couple years ago, but declined due to bad side effect. PLUS, it only helps like 5% of people anyway.................... senorsal
yeh man, all the best of luck for the trial
have been looking into a few myself, jus for the cash, but more so them testing the treatments in controls to make sure it aint gunna cause ne mal effects... too bad there isnt a proposed psycadellic cure ;)
Hey, senor......
Good luck on the drug trials. Hope it improves your condition.
Btw, you plan on doing any traveling after the fact? I'd shore like to have a reason to put clean sheets on the bed in the guest room......
lw
Yeah well, once again senor finds himself aced out of the trials due to blood pressure readings  -- They did three readings and my stats went from 164/114 to 140/111 to 130/101---- The head honcho doc told me they could not use me.... So, looks like senor will not be lacing up his traveling shoes anytime soon... The only thing good to come of my journey to this city, is that I met a guy the day before yesterday that offered me a job that I can start Fri.. I was going to decline because of the trial schedule, but what with that shot out, I guess I'll take the job... It's funny though; he found I knew how to lay pipe and offered me $12.50 an hour to start, raise in 60 days, benefits, all the stuff, but I must say, I'm a lil freaked at taking the gig, because the last time I was laying pipe, a trackhoe operator managed to cut a finger offa me  --- Jeez, it is pathetic what one will do for the almighty dollar eh? Personally: I'd just as soon get paid to be a "drug tester" ----- Of course, due to senors'interest in the sciences and his fellow man; rest assured that my 'private research trials will go forth as usual :) :) ---senorsal
Darn that blood pressure deal Senor!.... nixed you on that last year too as I recall. I would have thought you could have taken something that would have helped lower it temporarily, like a perscription bp medicine or some type of homeopathic vasodialator like, ephedra maybe? (not that I know if that would work)..... but something along those lines that wouldn't show up on a standard panel test. But I imagine you had already looked into that this time around.
well hell, your a survivior Sal, and we is all pulling for yah.
Yeah, man. Sorry, sal.
Watch those fingers. The 9-5 monster is a hungry one, eh? Feed it a little sweat it wants your life. I don't want ot think about its possible reaction after tasting blood. hehe j/k

Hey Senor..don't lose any more body parts...you only get 11 to start with.
Cut your finger off w/a backhoe... that`s nasty, and must of been very painful! he lose track of what he was doing w/the shovel...mygod.
Well,I done a fair amount of pipework in my lifteime too, underground and above. A lot of work with the drainspade and cleanout shovel.
BTW,sorry the testing did not work out for you. i myself run a risk of hepatitus in the bathroom /sewer work I do,which is part of my overall job. Most 'deseases' don last on proclain, but hepatitus of one variety can pose a problem, or so I understand. hepatitus of all varieties can be debilitating,to say the least.
Sorry to hear about it, Senor. I'm glad (if you are) you have a job opportunity, and I sure hope it works out for you.
Yeah, senor was 'on it' as far as pressure medications go... I took both of my prescribed pills at just the right time before the test, so that their phamocological peaks would happen just as I got my pressure tested, but all for naught I'm afraid... Yep, I did try to look into homeopathic remedies as well but I could not find one that I felt could beat their screening procedure (which was way, way, more deep than what one does to gain employment)---- Ha, the wage monster tasting blood  -- that's a good one!! Yep the bod and its' 11 parts.. I always figure I started with 12... 10 fingers, the family jewels, and the brain, but as my parents decried in my abberrant youthful years... " A brain what a terrible thing to waste! ------------
