*New Rock Album: Poor Billy, *Brother Wake Up* (2011) . . . This Danish band, sounding beautifully punk-rootsy to its bones, should pack up their gear, get on a jet plane, and come on over to any given Occupy site they like, or tour them . . . theirs are the songs of the working folk, loud, brash, full of rough-hewn poetry, sweat, smiles . . .
*Classic Rock Album: The Rolling Stones, *Between the Buttons* (1967) . . . Mick n Keith n the boys decided to follow The Beatles and Dylan into trippier places than they'd been, and the result is like nothing any other band produced . . . they are bad boys, indeed, but sharp-eyed and deep-hearted too . . . this album is a classic and a delight . . .
*Storybook Time: Continuing Chapter Twenty-Two of *The Brotherhood of Eternal Love, From Flower Power to Hippie Mafia: The Story of the LSD Counterculture* by Stewart Tendler & David May. . .
*Readings from *Labyrinthine* fixtion & *Many Musics* poems . . . & this week's featured artists are the final bunch from the *Dark Was the Night* anthology . . . *Classic Rock Album: Nick Drake, *Bryter Layter* (1970) . . . Nick Drake's second album, his, er, happier-sounding one, his shot at the title, or whatever you might think such a strange, twisted soul would be going for . . . it's a beautiful work, and it didn't sell much, and Drake went on lower down his road . . . but it's a fascinating stop to behold . . .
