That sounds interesting, aya. Have you grown this one yourself or do you gather the seeds?

Are you sure that is Ilex guayusa? It looks nothing like the other caffeine containing Ilex species!

I'd like a plant if possible...

It turns out that the guayusa he was offering was a Piper species. Guayusa in Ecuador is Ilex guayusa. In Peru what they call wayusa (guayusa) is that Piper.

Don't know what it's used for though.

Irie Pink,
Is that my good buddy, welcome!
You're right, although, I reviewed his seeds recently & he now has the real deal Cat's Claw!
I've not tried his uncaria seeds, yet, but I have a couple of seedlings that I germinated earlier this year, seeds from elsewhere..
No sign of ilex currently available!
Respect,
Z

Hey Z!

Missed your reply here for quite some time...

Kiwiboancaya withdrew their listing for their 'guayusa'. I don't know of any vendor currently offering Ilex guayusa, though there are a very few growers here in the states that have it. Apparently Greenstranger/Hepting offered it about ten years ago before they went OOB, so there are some out there.
