Hats off to the mighty JRL - sending you best wishes for a steady heartbeat and renewed energy for this new year.

hey kids - if anyone has JRL's cell-number - give him a call - he's doing an overnight in a hospital for observation - seems he's okay but a call from a spf voice would be sensational
(via facebook news)
Well the observation turned into a procedure, cleaned out a funky artery and put a stent in, and I am already feeling good. Can't be rid of me that easy!
good news - glad you're back and stent-ed.
did the doctors suggest dietary changes?
I'm glad you are well JRL, sounds like a great birthday after all.
Skid, the birthday was not so great, instead of being at the Giants game we watched it on TV. TJ was gonna surprise me with a ferry ride across the bay to McCovey Cove and club level seats closer to home plate than 1st base. We gave em to our friends and they sent us pictures. But at least I had a birthday and for a minute I wasn't sure I was gonna make it.
Judih, lifestyle changes are in order plus 7 scripts.
Fair enough, I just meant the whole surviving thing.

yes, i think surviving is a fine way to celebrate!
Yep, the surviving thing. At least i was there for the birthday and many more hopefully.
Happy belated birthday, JRL...
Glad the roto-rooting & new plumbing helps you feel better!
Wishing you many more birthdays, Hon!

Recovery continues. Played my first gig, a private housewarming for my accordion playing friend. People remark about how good I look. I feel good but tire quickly.
great that you played - what is life without playing your music(?) - listen to your body, treat it well
My body is saying "thank you " right now. The repair seems to be making a big difference and I am very motivated towards a better diet etc. Gonna see my PCP today, and a cardiologist soon.
Stronger everyday!!
