I am a heavy tobacco smoker. I need to quit is how I feel. I have tried patches, nicotine gum, and nothing has worked. I heard about these tobacco smoking vaporizers. Does anyone know where I can buy a vaporizer? Are there any ex-smokers out there that have any advice for quitting smoking tobacco? Has anyone tried a vaporizer? Will a vaporizer work for me? I surely need to quit smoking tobacco, any advice would be appreciated. And I think a vaporizer might be the way for me, so any advice on where to buy a vaporizer and how a vaporizer would work would be nice. Thanks.

No info on vaporizers.... Have you considered quitting nicotine as opposesd to quitting smoking??? I'm thinking of trying it myself..... Maybe toke up something such as Indian Warrior, or damiana mugwort mixture.... keep us posted if you succeed....
When I quit I bought myself lolly pops for the oral fixation. I saw out a good accupunturist and had the needles put in my ears to stay for 2 weeks. These days alot of them use seeds but I don't find them as helpful try to find an old dr thats actually chinese or Asian.
There are herbal cigs as well that have lobilia in them this helps detox the body of the nicotien. You can find whole holistic kits for quitting. Also I have heard of people using E cigs to help them quit this is by far the longest method of quitting but I have heard from a lot of people they end up quitting in 3-6 months. You can tapper off them. They run around 80. bucks for a good one. I hear Janty is a good one you might check the E cig forms and ask around.
You could do a mixture of all these things really have the e cig on hand so that in case you cave then it's not as bad.
Do the accupunture if your down. Get the lollies put them in your car in every corner of your house.
you might think about making some Kava tea or taking capsules to keep yoru stress levels down.

oh you might also think about doing some Yage
I strongly recommend getting some Rhodiola rosea extract and try taking that (maybe start a few days before hand to let it build up in your system) when you quit cold turkey on the nicotine (the only way to go for lasting results IME and I've tried many, many ways - going on two years without a nicotine habit now though). It seems to really help level out the agitation and stress, the "I'm going to freakin' lose it!" type feeling and skin crawling that can happen during the really tough first week.
Greets!
like some other friends, this is slightly off subject:
though never a heavy cig smoker (including rollies), I started to grow
Rustica several years back, just a few plants that germinated at the
edge of the garden & encouraged to grow. harvested the few leaves
in Nov & smoked them in Dec & Jan. Point being that such potent
Nicotiana forms actually helped to discourage heavy use, made
wintertime a little warmer, created the satisfaction of full circle, & I could
understand with such reverence
for this plant that prior to colonization, indigenous use never got
to the excessiveness we see in the modern world :smoke2:

Not a good idea, IMO. I think it like you to smoke ;)
I was on the wagon for several years, and fell off when in Peru doing ceremonies.
If you've ever sat in a traditional ceremony, the
curanderos smoke
mapachos like a chimney, as do many of the participants...
Nothing goes a well with
yage a tobacco. Hell, I know one violent non-smoker who wouldn't consider being in ceremony without cheek-smoking.
Hello,
I have an update of my situation. I recently got what is called an electronic cigarrete, what it does is smoke vapor of nicotine (cartriges) and you just put a what looks like a filter from the cigarette cartrige on the the electric cigarette and smoke vapor. It helped so much with my asthma, that I'm really not doing my inhalers or pills for asthma anymore. Thats great as I did have quite an asthma problem from smoking so much tobacco. And I really steer away from filter cigarettes now, what I have been smoking of tobacco still is water bong hits of rolling tobacco and my tobacco smoking has decreased a bunch, so god hail the electric cigarette!
Peace,
