Title: South of the Pumphouse- Les Claypool
Post by: JRL on November 30, 2010, 01:47:16 PM
Anyone read this short novel. IMHO Claypool is a better writer than a musician. Good read, full of irony, twisted humor and a big surprise. Lots of drug content, 2 characters are speed freaks and the other is on shrooms through the whole story.

Full of Norcal flava, any one from El Sobrante here?  Anyone ever eat at Nathan's on San Pablo Dam Rd.?

very very dark. Funny, but very dark and gruesome. But Les toucxhes on some real issues, such as racisim and bluie collar ignorance, and rising above your raising.
