Title: non-plant/fungi based hallucinogens
Post by: AliceTepes on October 03, 2010, 04:59:10 PM
I was just wondering if anyone here knows of any.

I know that there are at least two types of amphibians that produce hallucinogenic substances(bufo toads and sapo frogs) but are there any other ones?
I also once heard someone say there was a type of fish used by some indigenous group.
are there any psychoactive insects?

N2O2?  Or are you specifically looking for living things?  Fugu is reported to be rather psychoactive when trace amounts of the deadly pufferfish toxin remain as properly prepared by some master Japanese chefs.

yeah I was thinking along the lines of living things, I am aware that there are a few gases and solvents that can be utilized(although most of the solvents are quite simply retarded) I have a friend who supposedly had his first entheogenic experience with Fugu.  I have also heard of a fish called Sarpa Salpa(dream fish) but it seems to be quite dangerous and unpleasant with hallucinations lasting days. just wondering if anyone was aware of any others.
